When speaking you should use note cards not a prepared speech.
The note cards will have speaking points and or facts

Well, I basically have note cards. I have points in my head. I don't have trouble remembering the overall topics, the problem is how I get the topic out of my mind and into yours. And to smooth out that process I should at least practice what I am going to say, if not write it out first.
