Thanks HPS lamp, for the 5 males you helped me with

nothing much worse than spending 300 dollars on everything you need, and coming out with 5 out of 5 useless plants. sigh.

ouch! yeah, making a male hermie is impossible, he was saying its too bad its not possible. Honestly even if you could though i cant imagine it being worthwhile to grow out, lol, people dont even let female dominant hermies live. I've never seen one in life and they are kinda uncommon(probally since everyone chops as soon as it shows male) but they do exist though. I wonder why you can make a female hermie so easy but its only possible for a male to hermie from genetics......but thats how it is as far as i know. lol

oh damn, I did misunderstand you 5hit Im sorry. yeah I wish you could hermi or something out of a male. It would take all the fun out of used non-feminized seeds, though

btw, by never seen one in my life i mean in real life. I've seen people on here have them though, i havent been able to find the growfaq since the server upgrade but they had pics of them in there too.

But @ OP... order some feminized seeds, now that you got the setup/technique down you can grow some killer sensi buds!

that makes sense im on the market for a 1000w and i cant find one better then 300 so i just had that in my head. probably a 400w in this case

You should check craigslist dude... just search "grow" and put the price limit at like 400 and a bunch of HID's will pop up

sucks dude. only time i tried bag seed i planted 6, 5 were male and the 6th hermied so mercilessly it had to be chopped down a few weeks later as well. that was not fun

buy stable genetics.. 2 or less phenotypes with low hermi tendecies.. or feminezed.

your hps didnt cause this unless they are being heat stressed, maybe drought but i kinda believe some mj plants are predesposed (spelled wrong im sure(to have small percentages of both sex organs?and not turn due to stress factors... like the ones that maybe sprout banans 2-5 per plat n in final ripening, usually resulting in 5 or less seed, if the pollen is even viable.. or then the 50/50 that looks good untill week 4, but then explodes in seed pods round week 6. or the 60/40 m to f that just looks fine hidden in your patch, till you discover it 4 weeks into bloom pissen pollen everywhere.. sorry to rant.

get a good mom, dial her in and you can eliminate alot of guess work

I was just kidding about the HPS. it wasn't it's fault. I love it. And the metal halide bulb as well. I was just very disappointed in the outcome. nothing to do with the light. ill get back to her eventually

I've had a hermie male before... . it was the trippiest thing I've ever seen.

the fuckin thing grew pistils with all the balls.

I dont' think there would be anything truly consumable to get you high there, but damn the motherfuckin thing would have produced its own seeds.
