THC absorption in lungs?

Does anybody know about how long it takes for THC to absorb into your lungs? I've heard from most sources that that absorption happens almost instantaneously, within a few seconds. If this is so, how does hotboxing work? You can't refute that you tend to get more blazed when you get a good chamber going.

I'm not sure,,but I know from experience,,if ya hold it in a bit,,4-5 seconds,,I get a way better buzz ,,as opposed to quick in out tokes

most of it gets absorbed instantaneously.. the reason you feel more high if you hold it in or hot box is because the lack of oxygen..thats why you get that extra "buzz"

i heard 5 secs after that its harmful tobacco or leaf and plants matter , .. its salvia that the longer u hold the more u trip
