Like dude said earlier, wait about another week and then start your nutes at 1/4 strength and go up each feeding till you see a little nute burn on the tips of your leaves. When you do dial it back a bit and your set. I tend to give more nutes when I get a few weeks into flower but that depends on the plant.Nice pics, cheers for that. I've only just started and I already can't wait for harvest!!!
Being that I'm in NZ, we only have locally mixed soils (ie not fox farm etc), here's what I've got: http://www.tuigarden.co.nz/tui-all-purpose-potting-mix
It says it does contain nutes, but being that they are released over 3 - 9 months, I wouldn't imagine they'd be very strong. Or will my plants suck them up extra quick?
I vegged the SB for about 3 or 4 weeks. It got pretty tall so I did some supercropping on the main branch and a few side branches. It was a pain to keep it out of the light, I have a little over 4 feet to work with in height. The 400w aircooled hood takes up about 10 inches of space. All in all, I wish I had a 600w, just to make the buds that much denser.how long you veg? what wattage?
Very nice what size pots you use? 3 - 4 week veg then how long you flower for? sorry for all the ?'s its just that im growing this strain currently but mine is just over a week from sprouting.Like dude said earlier, wait about another week and then start your nutes at 1/4 strength and go up each feeding till you see a little nute burn on the tips of your leaves. You mean 8-10 weeks flower?I use a 2 1/2 gallon pot, I never really looked to see how long the veg took. I kinda just feed them and chop them when and how they need it. I cut the SB with all cloudy trichs. I saw one amber trich and cut it down 2 days later. I like that head high and I have no problem taking a nap when I need one, so I try not to get too much couch lock. My autoflower plants, I let those run a little long, but that's just to make them fatter.
Edit: Just looked and the veg time was about 8-10 weeks, somewhere in there. Again I don't pay close enough attention.
Nice so in a nut shell it was 3-4 week veg 2-1/2 gal pots 8-10 weeks flower and over 4 oz. Not too shabby.Yeah sorry. I meant 8-10 weeks flower. I count from the day I switch to 12/12.
Came in at 110g dried so 2g under 4oz. But yeah it was my best single plant yet. I've done about 9 grows now with 2 plants each grow and again my best producer to date. I liked the Super Lemon Haze the best out of the grows, But I only got 2 1/2 oz off of it. It's still a strain I will grow again, where the Strawberry Blue will not make it back into my rotation. I love the yield and it's a great high, I just want more flavor. Not to say there isn't a different phenotype that is better tasting, but the one I grew and am smoking on right now is just okay as far as flavor. I'm growing a G13 labs Sour Candy right now for the first time so we will see what that one is like. Don't let me bring down your excitement though as it's just my opinion. In my grow journal for the SB someone told me when I started growing it that it was a 6 out of 10 plant in their opinion, I give it a 7 of 10.Nice so in a nut shell it was 3-4 week veg 2-1/2 gal pots 8-10 weeks flower and over 4 oz. Hey bro, still not 100% sure, I think they were overheated from being too close to the lights. Whatever it was, it was permanent damage, coz they're still like it. None of the new leaves have had it tho so nothin to worry aboutHey man...did you ever find out why your leaves on day 11 were crinkled?
Any opinions on this? Anyone? The way I'm set up at the moment, I've got flouro tubes running at a 45 degree angle.
I'm thinking that as my plants grow, I'll train them at a 45 degree angle, to run parallel to the lights.
Is that a good idea, or should I just let them grow straight up?
Doing the same, using two WalMart fabric shopping bag "Smart Pots" Does anyone think WalMart might want a few pics of that for their marketing?I'm actually growing Strawberry Blues in fabric shopping bags as a ghetto version of smart pots. working like a charm so far.
Flouros till harvest, that's why I really want to maximize the light they're getting. I know I should be getting a hps or something, but I don't wanna invest too much in my first grow. Plus I have a friend who had a similar setup (flouro tubes) and LST'd with some pretty decent results (5oz off 2 plants), so I'm keen to give it a goI've never used fluro's before so I have no idea. Shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as they get light. You can do all kinds of stuff in the veg cycle, what are you planning for flower?

My feelings exactly jhowdy17. I've seen some piss poor HPS grows also. It all about bringing everything together from however you start, seed or clone, to curing what is hopefully a successful bountiful crop!great yields come out of CFLs done properly
