My answer was to you but mis read what you were saying I guess.

"Is it possible for me to use the MH for lets say the first 3 weeks, or so until I see pre-flowers then throw the HPS in there to flower it out?"

Did not realize you were going to put them under MH 12/12 to veg first.

Take it easy amigo... I think everybody here is trying to help others. There have been many times when someone asks a question and it gets misunderstood what they are trying to ask and when someone else tries to answer, they get their head bit off.

Ok, so you are doing a 12/12 from seed with a MH to start off with. Nope never tried it. I wouldn't think it would be as effective though since you are using more blues in the lighting than the reds for autumn, but what do I know. :-P

Those are clones aren't they dd? look pretty good. Long white flowers. I just used my 420 post and forgot to say something about it.. Dang.

Hey 12/12 gang.

I have been on a 12/12 schedule from beginning without germination. 4 days until sprout. I assume to stick with same schedule regardless of what time I noticed the sprout since it was in a 4 hour window? I have 4 5500 cfl total about 3 inches from the sprouts and will leave them on this light for awhile then move to 7 2700k and 2 5500k in about two weeks or so, that ok? Grow box is about 3x3x3 roughly so with 2 plants this should be enough eh?

For watering, let it dry out all the way, then a good watering etc. etc. only when needed is what I read? Also, I am using distilled water at about 6.0 ph in FFOF soil. Do I need to mump up the ph or just let it be. I hear 6.2 - 6.8 but is that necessary?

i also use FFOF and my P.H. is at 6.5. i use well water, but have used other water sources, anywhere from 6.0 to 6.8 ph, all with no problems, and no problems, so i say you should be just fine as far as the P.H. goes.
and doing the water method you mentioned is spot on. It it always best to let the soil get a little dry to let the roots get oxygen and expand in search for water. Id say you are on the right track my friend.:clap:

I am in the beginnings of a perpetual grow using 2 chambers. I just sexed my plants and now have extra room in the flowering chamber. Have a healthy mom and clones rooting in veg. chamber.
Germinated 5 seeds today using paper towel method. Soon as the pop they are gonna go right into flowering chamber.

Looking forward to seeing the side by side comparison to the clones. Im gonna throw in 2 small clones the say day the seedlings pop soil.

anyone here tried querkle on 12/12 from seed, or purple urkle? I'm guessing its to slow in veg for this but would like to hear from anyone as i've got some querkles that i might throw in among others, hopefully the space queen will improve it but not sure it will be enough, if not i'll just fill its space as i've got plenty of others

here's a few more pics of my durban poison clone in the bathtub Lol, the only place with good enough light for pics. 5 weeks and counting... :joint::)

the upper leaves are starting to curl and turn brown but i'm hoping thats normal, let me know what you think!

Bluetick, you using a 1000HPS ? Thats some power :-) I used to use a 600HPS until a couple of years ago, they can certainly do the business.


Anyway, I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum here ! I'm a commited CFL grower nowdays but what I like about this thread is that we can all appreciate each others work without that constant "you should that, or do this" kind of post.

Heres my ladies again at day56 from germination 12/12 all the way of course. Northern Lights, 350watts of CFL's in a metre sq cabinet PLUS a bit of natural sun of good days. Had a touch of fan burn earlier but all new growth green and healthy.

The next 20 days or so should see them fill out nicely :-)

wow you give me hopes of good yeild with my 450w cfl setup i have 7 plants not sexed yet but i know ill get a few males

MAJEK I really wish I could taste that now. That herb is exceptionally good. Looks delicious.

What nutrients, soil and lighting set up did you use for that grow?

thanks :) this is my first time growing 12/12 from clone so I don't know what to expect, I'm loving the results so far though! I'm using a 250w HPS from htgsupply (the cheapest one they had lol), FoxFarm OceanForest soil, and Age Old Bloom liquid fertilizer.

My experiment is starting.

Took my first sproutlet and put it into the flowering chamber w/ a freshly rooted clone.

Couple more seedlings that havent popped soil yet waiting to join this one.
