Socialism isn't the problem in America. Pretty much every socialist endeavor (social security, Medicare, etc) has been a success here. The problem with this country is capitalism without checks. Giant corporations have infiltrated our political process, and now hold our elected leaders hostage. Our politicians do their bidding, and fuck over the common man.

Wyoming has a higher gsp per capita than California.
You are saying one elector per 500k population or 2 mil population............still popular. If every state got one elector per x population there would be no need for either electors, or a popular vote. You would also eliminate the senate. Are you advocating elimination of the senate as well as states?
