Holy hell this is going to be a BOMB comp. Theres nothing but good contenders in the ring. Im just glad that im using rabbit semen to fertilize with because i think its going to give me a gnarly edge at week 7 to give me the edge over these other guys. Is anyone else using any secret ingredients?

Tortoise semen is the real secret - Slow and steady always wins

It's a mad dash over here to prep the new grow area. I wanted to change over at the end of the month but since we can't change lights, I need to have the new spot up and going by germ time. Game on.

Got a backup? I find germ rates <50% until about 4-5 weeks after harvest.
I have seen this with certain strains I've crossed, but recently I've been having really good luck with pulling seeds out of the plant and germinating them right away. Viability testing is always fun.

So how exactly are plants scored and voted on?

Is there a point system like the Boone and Crocket point system for buck antlers?

Can / will there at least be an honourable mention for things like:
  • best indica / sativa / hybrid
  • best home bred (not store bought)
  • best colours
  • biggest cola(s)
  • heaviest dry weight
  • frostiest bud (concentrates)
  • best structure (node/branch/overall)
...and so on.

I could see this having multiple awarded positions. The general accepted winner is the one with the Best Overall looking plant, but other categories acknowledge other winners as well.
Multiple awards can be one as well for example: kmog33 wins best sativa, comes in second for best colours and also picks up second for frostiest bud....

I do but I entered to see what how my f3's would stack up to the cup. I'll keep in the game even if they're not ready. Plenty of beans to choose from. :leaf:
Oh yeah always some that'll pop, just finding more consistency >4 weeks with most. Not like it costs anything to pop some early, I'm never patient enough to wait the full 4-5 weeks ;)

Your making this way more complicated than it needs to be chief - didn't you read through the previous comps and see how they finish?
In #7 we were lucky to even get the contestants to post their final entry post and gather their votes.
It should remain simple and more or less just a "peoples choice" among fellow contestants.
It's not some official cannabis cup to gain "bragging rights" on your home made crosses

It's been almost a year, and was just for gigs and shits, but I thought the rqs nl auto I did in a hempy solo cup turned out well.

To this day still the only auto I've done and that's for good reason; they are just not to my liking.

That being said it should be interesting to see how this turns out for me since I'll actually be trying to make something out of a solo.

I'm thinking I'll crack one of these emerald triangle BlackBerry ogs just to see what comes of it. If none of my crosses come out female I'd like to know I'll have a female to compete with.

Don't know if anyone asked but do you have to start the seed in soil or can do the paper towel way? My cups are dart brand, which bought out solo I think.:?::peace:
