haha thats funny man. i have six plants groing in my aero right now. it was seven but i think the seventh got kinda stuck and it molded before i noticed it couldnt get out. i also have two other soil babies. pics soon. -stay possitive- TOKE

So this is myOk so I bought this all in one system called the Aerogarden its pretty cool the Aero Garden, indoor herb garden, growing a indoor herb garden,indoor herb garden kit, beginner indoor herb garden kit,garden kit it comes with different seed kits. The one it came with was for salad greens and comes with some nutrient tablets to give once every two weeks specifically for the salad greens. Other kits are for flowers, cherry tomatoes, peppers, herbs, which each have their own special blend of nutrient tablets. Which one of these is most like a marijuana plant? I heard tomatoes.
Anyways, since I dont know much about growing I figured this was the best way to go. The kit comes with seven foam cylindrical shaped mediums which fit into a plastic hopper type device that slides into the hole where water is pumped from the resivoir yada yada. The tops of the foam mediums have a slit that when spread apart reveals what looked like several salad green seeds. I removed these seeds and replaced with one marijuana seed found from bags of weed. It has been 2 1/2 weeks and i have gotten 4 to sprout and had about 7 seeds never sprout. I have just placed new seeds in the last 3 slots, the other day so they should sprout in about 1 1/2 more days. They have only taken about 2 1/2 days to sprout.
I guess my main goal here is to get this new method out there and recieve your reponses and criticisms on this little project and to as well keep you all informed on this product as it may yield nice results. I feel like Christopher Columbus sailing into the blue with no guides. But I hope That you all can help guide me. lol ok I think I need to stop smoking before I write this stuff.
I have posted some pictures in my profile please view them because I have also noticed some yellowing on my plants, so help as to what may cause this and what I should do would be so great.

hey every1. i am sort of a newb...well not when it comes to smokin, but growing it is something i never tried yet.. well ever since i saw the aerogarden infomercial i thought wow this would prolly grow bud just as good thats when i came across this thread, well anywayz i just want to know if anyone knows what kind of seeds to get if u want a short stocky plant?? i read alot of different things but just wanna see what u guys think is the best... thx

Does anybody know the most condusive setting for starting/vegetation? I can't find whether or not the herbs/basil setting is a 16-8 or 18-6, im pretty sure salad/greens is 17-7.

Yeah, short and stocky's your best bet... an indica of some type would do perfectly.

I have seen lots of ppl using pretty much every different setting an having success. So i dont think you have to worry too much. Mine was on herbs all the way through .
There is a post in this thread showing a pdf with full details from the makers of the ag explaining all the settings.

Can someone please tell me how i know wether my plant is male or female. I been flowering for about 1 and a half weeks now. I really need to know, so please don't tell me to go back and look at some old threads cuz i can't find it anyway. Help!

miguel, to be honest with you, if you can't find that out then you can't find your ass with both hands. You should have done your homework waaay before now. But the male plants have little sacks that look almost like human male testicles and female plants little green wicks.

You shouldn't start flowering until the plants are ready, usually after about 6-8 weeks veg. Plants will also show sex during veg around this timescale.

hey guys... i stumbled upon this thread after watching an infomercial about areogarden and i wanted to see how it worked for growing MJ. I ordered one last night and i am glad i found this thread. thanks for all the wonderful info and i look forward to growing with you

Put a germinated Sweet Dreams sprout into the Aerogarden on Friday, today it is 2 3/4" tall, looks like a tall palm tree. Am using FF Grow Big at 3 tsp per gallon every time I top off the tank, and am set on peppers setting. So far, so good. Will keep you informed, but as has been stated before, when you get to a certain point in this thing, I don't think you can go to soil growth, tried it with one of the pepper plants that had to be 86'd to make way for the pakalolo, pepper plant didn't make it.

I am trying rockwool cubes this time instead of the foam pods. The seem to be turning a brownish color. Checking PH daily, using Fox Farm GB nutes 2 tsp per gallon.
Has anyone used anything other than the foam pods ike rockwool with any success? Does the brown color signal a problem?

brown color could be bacteria... if your roots are slimey it may be root rot
i use natural silk sponge for the empty pods and new seeds.
you should empty the res clean it with peroxide... and soak your pods in peroxide. it'll disinfect the roots and oxygenate at the same time. run your aerogarden with a peroxide/clean water mix. be sure to only top off the aerogarden with distilled or filtered water adjust to ph of 6.2
