Ok,
I'm new on this here forum. Read threads and posts from the experienced and the fng's. I see a couple of themes repeated over and over. Imma' gonna show y'all the trials and tribulations of growing this here wonder plant as experienced by this here pilgrim. Now don't read me wrong, I'm an ol' fart with a love of the plant that started back in the 60's. I've smoked it all over the world. I've walked the fields in the Afghan Mountain Valley grows that went on for miles. And I'll touch on some of those experiences as I ramble along here on what I have found to work for me, ol' BoomerBloomer57. So grab some popcorn, yer faverit beverage of choice, load up a bowl, bonghit, doober, or if yer in the straights right now bust out the pinch hitter cause you'll want yer "head" on fer this trip,,,,,,,
I grew the girls outdoors in Mother natures own delight for over twenty years. Had some good years, had some rough ones. And then there were the grows that just rocked yer socks off and slapped yer ass they were so friggin awesome. Well now, some time back a feller I've known since the Beatles invaded our shores (I'll touch on that issue later) and has spent his life in a completely different world than I have enjoyed. While I was out running around all over the globe doing the deeds bade by my masters, he was per suing knowledge of plant life. He even gets a fancy title by that place he teaches at. Yep, known the Perfesser all my life and even though we are at the other end of the spectrum we do have one thing in common, this wonder plant called Marijuana,,,,,
So after some big bongers and a few Newcastle's one day not too long back, the Perfessor and I while sitting on the back patio enjoying the view and smells of a huge outdoor grow says to me, ol' BoomerB,,,
"BoomerB, It's time to move this inside and do it right. Build a shed, make it bright. Give it lots of air and let no light seep in. Insulate it to keep it warm on these cool southern nights and cool when the Sun blazes down. You have too many plants and although they are mighty fine specimens, I do believe we can do more with less,,,,,,,,
Well sir, I sat forward, loaded up the King Bong and ripped a huge one. Thats when it hit me like a Missouri Mule kick to the nads. Damn near passed out from the hit, thoughts exploded in my brainpan and I GOT IT.
Build it for them,,,,,
Had to clear out the crop and make room for the 1st experimental room.
Started with a nice Momma from the Perfessor. We'll get into the genetics later.
Started off with dirt based clones then moving them into the GH 16 pot fiberglass tubs under 1 one thousand watt light. Hard to keep cool, too shallow.
Tubs are more suited for outdoor veggie grow and are now being used for just that.
Well now that first grow did teach me a lot about the growing habits of the plant. Figured what the heck, seen them rubbermaid tubs at lowes so I picked up 1/2 a dozen. Thats where we go next.
In the meantime I need to recharge the brain. Many, many more pics to come.
Enjoy my follies, it certainly kept Red amused.
