better late than never! lol...And I actually opened a thread here too in the LED lighting area....seems a very decent light.....after some research it appears the diodes are made by the company that made the bars... ....but they perform pretty well, they're not 301h's, but hell $230 for almost 3800 diodes at 800w? I have Bestva's 2000 and I'd say it stacks up well. Diode spectrum seems to be 3000,5000,660. I have a grow under it currently and the plants seem to love it. It runs fairly cool for 850w and puts out a nice even spread I'm reading around 900 to 950 "par" at 24" pretty much every where in a 3x3 square and drops into 700's at the sides. But my par meter is a phone app...so use it only with a grain of salt and to measure spread. Another guy on the IC forum bought one too and has been sharing some knowledge on it.
Cool, I'll check out the thread. So how did you come up with the conclusions on the diode and light brand exactly? I don't owe any brand any loyalty in this hobby, so as long as they make quality products and back it then I'm in(when it's cheap or free).

Cheap Updayday light with out the frills

I hung mine yesterday. Besides the scary packaging-this thing put out a lot of decent light. I have mine in a 3x3. I added the AC infinity outlet so I can control it from the controller. Why does AC infinity use such weak lights in their kits? The 3x3 came with a 240 Watt tiny light.

it's actually 270, so 30w per sqft. that's just a low end grow i guess. i was actually pissed to find it to be not as stated. i can't get it to even do 240.

Just informing the thread...

My Updayday 4000 bit the dust after less than 1.5 years. Purchased 12/9/21 and went out today.
Thanks for posting. I would contact them through Amazon and ask if they'll replace it. Give them a day or two to give you an answer.

In the mean time, post a low-star review saying at what amount of use time it failed and compare it to the vendor's lifetime spec posted on the Amazon description. Include in your post that you are attempting to contact the vendor to resolve the issue.

Running on all the time for 1.5 years is 13,140 hours. Most LED specs call out at least 50,000 hours life span.

Amazon vendors are very conscious of their reviews. Any time I've had an issue and followed the above protocol, the vendor sent a new light, and I changed the review and bumped up the stars to indicate that their customer service replaced the light. I've had 3 or 4 lights fail like this in the past few years.

Good luck!

+1. They have an email address that they actually respond to. PM me if you need it. I’m fairly certain they will make it right…
