Haha no. I'm just wondering why someone would buy a 0-10-10 like KoolBloom when they could add more of their 0-5-4 bloom instead, especially when the 0-5-4 contains additional nutrients that are lacking in GH Flora. Really just trying to get a grasp on mixing solutions and how the numbers add up. I've got a plant with Nitrogen deficiency also displaying nute burn so I'm going to have to alter my feeding schedule (Lucas in soil) and now I have a better idea how.

Yes, this is exactly why products like coolbloom, moab and many other PK "bloom boosters" are just another un-needed bottle. If you are using a 3 part base nutrient system like most do it is just as easy to use more of the bloom product instead of adding a completely different product that provides stuff you already have in your 3 step. I use GH 3 part flora series and toward the end of flower i just use one extra part of the bloom every feed to accomplish the same thing (increase the PK ratio) without the need for another product. Many consumers see these "bloom boosters" and such and think they are some new and different thing you need, this just simply is not the case. A product that provides PK does just that, nothing more, and the PK from Koolbloom is no different than the PK already in the base feed you are using. All and all if u know what the plant needs u can accomplish it with a system like GH 3 part, that is why it is a 3 part system to allow you to manipulate the ratios to accomplish your goal, without needing any outside products. If you need a bottle to spell out for you how much PK to give your plant and when, then you may benefit from a product like koolbloom that will give you instructions on how to use it without burning your plants, but from my exp these instructions are not going to save you if u dont know what you are doing.

Basically closely monitoring your PPM's is your friend. Nitrogen has by far the highest PPM/ML of the 3 macros so careful to be mixing your gro and micro at less concentration then normal if you are adding more bloom or you may end up burning your plants even if the PPM isnt't much higher than your norm as there will be a less nitro and micro nutes and A LOT more PK.

For some screwie reason, guys like GH always include more K than N, even in their "grow" foods. It's a plant nutrition farce. As a rule of thumb, use a high N food like a 9-3-6 to promote foliage, a 10-30-20 food to promote flowering, UNTIL, you begin to see premature yellowing of the lower fan leaves or overall plant which will result in necrosis if not corrected. Forget bud production and concentrate on leaf health and maintenance. Think outside of the box.

A 10-10-10 is a safe bet for an all-around NPK value.

I'm using 10-10-10 starting when the plants have two sets of three leaf fans on them. From there I maintain the Nitrates and add to phosphorous and potassium from late in Veg. stage. through flowering, and budding. Some cal. Mag. May be needed. Voodoo juice or a root stimulant is all ways good from the begining. It works for me. Good Luck!
