Ok so I thought my leaves were either getting eaten by caterpiller's or snails,


But when I went outside tonight to try to catch the culprit in the act, look what the fuck I found munching,I definetly wasnt expecting these to be the suspects.



I checked every plant and found between 2-6 of these fuckers on every plant, then squished them personally.

Any ideas of what I can spray right now besides neem oil to help prevent these bastards???

Is that a pincher bug ? I got similar holes like that on a couple if my leaves. And I've seen pincher bugs around in my backyard before. I'm interested to hear what sprays people use as well.

Looks like we are back to Diatamaceous Earth (DE)

This is what I found. I would lightly dust the leaves and sprinkle heavy around the stalk and lightly moving away from it.
Home remedy to get rid of earwigs.​
To trap earwigs or pincher bugs take rolls of damp newspaper and place them in your garden, basement, around your house foundation, garage, or anyplace and leave for 24 hours.
They are attracted to the newspaper and will take cover inside the rolls. Discard newspapers in plastic bag and place in garbage.
Scented sticky boards can also be placed out to trap them.


CONTROL OF EARWIGS​
[SIZE=+0]The following preventative measures help control earwigs (pincher bug). Eliminate any accumulations of moisture, Also, eliminate damp conditions in crawl spaces under homes, around outside faucets, air conditioning units and other places. Reduce lawn and flower bed watering wherever possible. Remove or alter places that attract earwigs such as flower gardens and sheltered areas under trash and compost or wood piles. Keep grass and weeds cut short around structural foundations. Also reduce outside lights at night, since these tend to attract ear wigs.
Earwigs gain access indoors through very small cracks and crevices. Use caulking and weatherstripping around doors, windows, pipes and other places to exclude them. Earwigs generally enter the home at the ground level, so pay particular attention to low areas.


Maternal care is readily exhibited among earwigs. Female earwigs(pincher bugs) dig a burrow or earthen cell into which they deposit approximately 20 to 60 eggs. Once this is complete, the female earwig gather the eggs and organize them into a pile. The female earwig tends to the eggs and guards the "nest" from all intruders, including her mate.


Questions About Earwigs[/SIZE]
I am an organic gardener...and i can't seem to get rid of pincher bugs in my garden...is the product you mentioned really safe to use around vegetables? The bugs especially like my lettuce plants. They dig into the dirt in the garden and lay eggs in the plants - always in the lettuce but other places as well. I want to get rid of them...so my biggest concern is...how organic is it? Thanks for your help.

Non toxic Diatomaceous earth powder is completely safe to use in your garden on plants and vegetables to stop earwigs. You can lightly dust the leaves and stems of plants and also make a barrier on the ground around the plants.Here is a home remedy you might want to try.

If (pincher bugs) earwigs are a menace, vegetable oil can come to your rescue. Several cat food-sized cans, filled halfway with vegetable oil, clobbers them. Set the cans where the varmints tend to be; those pesky critters crawl in the cans but don't get out.

we have pincher bugs every where, they are all in the grass outside, yesterday i pulled a lot of the long grass by the house and sprayed them. they are in the house,, they even get in the refrigerator. how can i get rid of them. i hate them.

Spreading non toxic diatomaceous earth powder in areas outside your home and inside your basement will help to keep pincher bugs (earwigs) under control. DE will kill any insect that crawls through it but it is harmless to people and pets. Keeping grass and weeds cut short will also help. Keep outdoor lighting turned off at night as much as possible as earwigs are attracted to the light at night.

Yes, they can give you a small pinch with their pincher's but it does not hurt.

So I had some feminized pre98 bubba seeds gifted to me, and I had given away two of the three that I sprouted this year because of their weak/slow growth, but just recently the one pre98 Bubba I have left has suddenly caught up in size an stature to my other plants.

Because of this i've decided to keep it around, not gonna go huge with it but I still want to see how it peforms outdoors.



She was getting a little lanky so i supercropped by pinching all the nodes, I then did this to all of my plants in the yard, I love how strong it makes the stems in the future.


The Querkle x Agent Orange plant is getting huge right now.


Peace out guys off to butcher dead animals for 8 hours :)

Tranpslanted a Timewreck female into a 25 gallon smart pot, about 60% Super Soil 40% Roots Organic Soil.


Pulled down LD50 #9, very strong smell on this plant, just from pulling the branches down my fingers still stink as I'm typing this.

the timewreck looks cool as hell with all those bud sites!...the 25 gal smart pots, and the mainlining looks so much like my scene....love it....you may want to think about wrapping the black smarts with a light colored material in a few weeks after she gets settled in, but leave it black for now to help her get established.....i use burlap sacks cut apart lengthwise, and wrapped and stitched to the smart.....can't wait to get my scene up and running......i am going to transplant from 2 gal, to 5 gal buckets, then to the 20 gal smarts.....but like i mentioned before, i start really late.....one of the reasons is to avoid all the early summer bugs....like those little fuckers your dealing with! it is amazing how many of them disappear when it heats up, and dries out.......nugs......p.s. love the looks of the LD50#9, and way to leave space in the smarts for top-dressing....you will need it.

That's crazy! So I'm not the only person who's dealing with those bastards.

I told my buddy at the hydro store and he didn't believe me till I showed him a picture.

Ive been killing them one by one at night, seems to be slowing them down but there are still more every night I check.

Beer traps my friend. They work the best for any of those creatures munching away.

Get some saucers or shallow bowls, one for every four plants. Dig a small hole so that the saucer is flush with the ground, pour some beer in (the bugs generally aren't picky) check and replace the beer every morning and watch the death toll rise.

I had some potato bugs that would only drink warm Guinness Stout.
And play darts.

LD50 #3 got put in the ground today.

Love they way this one looks, beautiful green color, short and bushy just how I like em :)

You can really see how badly those earwigs were munching on the leaves. The new growth is fine since I've been killing them by hand every night this last week.

Nice hand killing is sometimes the only way... Don't let them overwhelm you every kill helps Fer real I have taken To scratching the top inch of soil after watering then spreadin ditomatious earth ... Neem oil every week too keeps em down . But the beer traps and a copper wire around the base of each plant. One year with bad mice I wrapped the bottom six inches loosely in tinfoil..;)

Hope the beer traps work for everyone, I've been using them in my garden for years. The worst thing that happens is occasionally I find some extremely sleepy and hungover raccoon's in the morning.

It some seriously potent smoke, very Indica heavy pain relieving night time high.

Gramps next door loves it, whenever I get some from the dispensery by our house I bring him a few buds.

He is in excruciating pain ever since he had a hip replacement surgery about 10 years ago that went horribly wrong when his doctor cracked his femur bone on his right leg, a few days later while in a rehabilitation center he heard a huge crack, his femur bone split all the way down.

He has had surgeries to try to correct it and miraculously he can still walk, but every day he lives in extreme pain.

His current doctor has prescribed him more drugs than any other patient he has ever seen, so when gramps tells me that stuff really helps relieve his pain and makes it easier to fall asleep, it makes me very excited to let him know that I have a clone of that strain that we can put in his backyard and he can puff on all year round whenever he pleases :)
