A few years ago I made the huge mistake of loaning out my grow bible first edition. Now years later I went out and splurged for the 2nd edition trying to refresh'n my mind on things forgotten and maybe learn a few new tricks.I'm pretty stoked about some of it ,but I'm not down with the brown nosing cash under the table of certain seed companies (green house, dutch passion., Sensi seeds , Paradise or sagarmatha ) even though they are pioneers in this business and i have a lot of respect for a couple of them I just think its tacky.... or breeders in any case mainly ( SUbKeWL) who's just alot of show and poop as far as genetics go , at least what I bought and grew up.and hella others let down by his stock whatever moving on....they were promoted in this book and obviously gave money to "Greg Green" to pump they're seeds. If I want seeds I know where to go and trust me the ones mentioned are OLD and outdated.
On a good note I learned a lot about how to train plants and to take a few plants of the same strain and pinch one for multiple tops and let another grow wild and a third clean it up to the top for a single cola to find out what that strain does best at.In fact im doing it now with a dinafem OG and a Ripper Criminal +.Im doing a nice variety of Gage Green genetics as well and glad the book shed some light on this.I also learned that pinching stunts up to 4 weeks and to get the thinning done before the 12/12 switch.
I just got the book last weekend so im still flipping around to read new stuf.I do really dig the breeding information in case I decide to breed some of these strains with eachother for my own seed stock that I know will be what I make and not some random seeds found on the backroom floor...just sayn you know it happens.anyways I cant recommend this book as of yet,so stick with your cannabis culture or ask ed's and happy smoking brothers!!!!
