The only thing that has changed is "jesus" and "your child" have been swapped.

The rest of the context in the first post still stands.

If people told you your child had to die so that everyone's sins would be forgiven would you accept that at face value?

At that point it's not a question of "did they do something to deserve being on this cross". It's "how is this reasoning justification for letting a person die".

How is that reasoning justification. If I believed what THEY did I would leave him up there. If I did not believe what THEY did I would cut him down and let THEM believe I would face the prospect of paying for my sins. It is a win win. And in the second scenario a myth may just become of me. Ima cut out of this one now.
