The effects of a small container? will it recover

Ive posted a few threads in various places with this very question but no one has given me a response that actually answers my question. Maybe Ive just not been clear. This plant has been in the same container for its entire life up until yesterday. Although the small pot , less than a gallon,it hasnt seemed to have any adverse effects, and until lately I wasnt too worried until I got to looking at the calender and reading lots of posts from other growers. The plant has been in the 12/12 cycle for 55 days, is about 2 feet or so and there are lots of preflowers very few trichs and what looks like should be a huge cola, so I repotted it in a larger pot without incident.,I know some phenos can take a very long time. It just seems that it keeps getting fuller with flowers but isnt making much resin yet. All I want to know is was it the container,wil the larger container help her get back on a more normal flowering pace or will it ever mature, lol. And if so when can i expect to have some smokeage. If any experienced growers can help or have any input on my impatience Id really appreciate it.

decent looking plant, looks sativa dominant, hence longer flowerring period-10-12 weeks. normally it is ill advised to repot during flowering but you should be ok. the resin will come after the flowers.
the one thing I do notice is a decent K deficiency, possibled coupled with mg.
usually from too high salt build up in soil so if you havent flushed her now would be a good time. immediately feed with 1/2-full strength nutes. a minor k deficiency if corrected early is ok but if not corrected will def affect your yield
also if u r using any grow or big forumlas that contain Nitrogen, I would cut them out.

just make sure you nute immediately after or the deficincy will get worse. make sure your water is not too cold or too acidic as well

just took care of all of that, great info thanks. another quick one... Any guess as to how much longer till it starts to swell up and develop trichs? Its been on 12/12 for 7 and a half weeks.

should be anytime soon. u sure you dont have any light leaks?

just as you predicted, I found a light leak. Thats what I get for not making sure all
the cracks were sealed in my combo cab. The light from the veg half was leaking in at the bottom corner probably for the last 2 weeks. I removed that section and moved to a closet for the veg til I can rebuild. hopefully Ive got all the little kinks worked out thanks for all the input
