Use something that will flap up when its on, and fall back over when the AC turns off.

Great I'm going to put a cardboard with tape on the top that way when it turns on it flip up and when is off it falls back down and cover the light

Yup you got it. And cover the green LEDs while you’re at it. I know it’s probably fine.
... But fuck a single direct photon. That way I’m not raising questions in my mind.
