As a home inspector that has used an IR gun on heating ducts, to estimate loss of air, etc... Since you are familiar with these guns could you please explain what happens when you point it at a shiny surface?
Did you look at the photographs in the grow room in their picture? Does that just look like a piece of the stuff hanging from the ceiling of the grow room? Would the exact same thing happen to mylar if you shot it with an IR gun?
You seem really amped up on this product at $80.00 per roll. Maybe your a market rep, maybe you have something to gain by advertising this product, I dont know... However, I do know the advertising there is deceptive but looks really cool to the untrained observer.
There are many gimmicky items on the market that you can waste your money on. And if you have enough money to put up a 6000+ watt setup then go nuts and buy insulated mylar... However, if you are some poor guy who has got a 250W lamp in a closet in his garage has far better things to spend his money on than this product. And I dont gain anything by saying that.
There is too much confusing information on IR and FLIR in the growing community because it looks cool on TV...
