Whodatnation Bravo! Love the color, is that hint of red the real stuff???
How do you manage to have more in your 45??? When that is the case usually the plant was not as ripe as it could have been or it can be the strain.

Last few batches I ran had a red tint in the cannoli after it was pressed. I wasn't sure at first but I did harvest a little earlier then I usually do on the what was used to make it.

Yeah that's how red it is to me, not sure why I got more from the 45? I didn't know I wasn't supposed to lol
. I feel like I let the plants finish all the way for sure, but I don't check trichs with a scope, been going by eye and the look of the plants for years.

I wanted to take a break because of the Marc Emery type dark circles or bags under my eyes. Figure they are caused by lack of REM sleep from being chronic. When you quit the dreams come back in full force. Dreams you remember when waking up. Is being chronic harmful in that it inhibits REM sleep? It's the only downside I've ever come across if it's even a downside. Dreams are so vivid and real and weird when you are chronic and quit for awhile. Then after about a month of this I got high and it put me right to sleep like a baby with no dreams that I can remember. I wonder what the deal is with REM sleep and cannabis.

Why can't pot seeds be protected like corn? Check this out...

"Mo Hailong is a Chinese national who became a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) in the United States pursuant to an H-1B visa. Mo Hailong is employed as the director of International Business of the Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group Company, which is part of DBN Group. DBN Group is believed to be a Chinese conglomerate with a corn seed subsidiary company, Kings Nower Seed.During the course of the conspiracy, Mo Hailong and others are alleged to have stolen valuable inbred corn seed from production fields in Iowa and Illinois. This “inbred” or “parent” line of seed constitutes valuable intellectual property of a seed producer. After stealing the inbred corn seed, the conspirators attempted to covertly transfer the inbred corn seed to China."

^ OK fair enough, I thought they were topics all Weed Nerds might be interested in and I appreciate Frenchy's views on all cannabis related topics is all. I didn't know seed genetics could be protected.

Oh for sure thats why I was going to suggest to start your own thread cause I do notice that you do post interesting stuff sometimes you just put them in threads that have nothing to do with what your talking about lol

I have a question I am at page 71 I still have 175 pages to read so I apologize ahead of time if this question has been answered in a series of Q/A from page 71 to 244.

First off madd props to Frenchy and those who have posted here just a wealth of information thank you...

When you age are you aging like cheese or tobacco?

So for example with Tobacco I would maintain a equalized relative humidity that is suitable for the leaf (60-68%) at 12.7 to 18.3 C looking for the slowest breakdown possible depending on the aging time with longer aging I would use the redox method instead of oxidation at a lower temp and relative humidity this normally doubles the aging time but produces a finer product with tobacco. Do you have any idea what temp and relative humidity would be in the range to age hash in? I know various strains will be different and you are never going to have a perfect range suitable for all.. I age tobacco the reason I am asking and I love aging stuff whether wine, tobacco or this idea of aging hash... Would the point be to develop an outer crust then maintain that in a low relative humidity environment at similar temps to cheese and tobacco?

Also when would you say aging begins normally in tobacco 3+ years aging anything below that is resting ;)

You can bet I am already thinking of making a Hash Fridge taking a thermo electric wine cooler with custom cedar shelves equalizing the relative humidity and setting the temp.. For those interested this has been the big DIY deal in the cigar scene...

Thanks again for the great vids and the excellent information....

Hey everybody, so my ego was crushed this weekend, I did not even place in the first 10. On the other hand Aficionado took 3rd, 4th and 12th on 260 entries, quite impressive.
I had a great time giving the lecture, it went really well despite poor projection conditions. I also did not give the lecture on Sunday as advertised which was a downer for a few people.
TC did not tape it, he did not see it actually but the Emerald Cup at somebody taking care of it so I will be able to share in the near future.
Awesome event, incredible energy, I did not see much, I stayed at Aficionado booth (conveniently placed next to TGA) burning a collection of hashish made with their genetics and having a great time.
Sub and Mzz Jill breeders panel with Leo in command was awesome and like you I will see it on Youtube.
You gonna love the next Weed Nerd

Hey Anvil, Welcome and never hesitate to ask question here.
You want your aging place dark, cold and dry. If aging is over 3 years for tobacco you would call what I do resting at best in California. I experienced aging at that level only in India and Afghanistan but I will really try my best to make it happen here. Your Hash fridge has potential. Talk to you again when you are through
