The French Cannoli` Hash Thread

I posted some melt shots of Frenchy's Creme Brulee on youtube for anyone who wants to check them out. I think it was made from Subcool's Cheese Quake, but I could be wrong. Cheers.

Make sure you watch in HD.

Frenchy, can you explain what you do to retrieve from the alcohol? I have cleaned bags and utensils and left the oil to evaporate in stainless bowl However it crept up on me and after little [so it seemed] evaporation ,all of a sudden,
just a golden film on the bowl and I could not remove it. So, I added the next batch of 99'% after use and it combined with the first. However the same will happen in a few days. Do you suggest putting it in a pyrex tray to dry in ?
and last of all, what do we do with it ? is it like the "hash oil" from back in the day ?

Thanks WarMarchine. That hash was phenomenal, extremely fun to watch it melt. Yeah I'm lucky, I live in Sonoma County and 2013 had a great season, we've had a huge variety of some really amazing sun grown flowers here and from up north. And more people are producing full melt from fresh frozen material :-D. I'll try and post more melt shot montages.

Yeah please do! The video made my mouth water! I'm in San Jose, California and we have really beautiful nugs but it seems like no one really makes full melt hash here to much. A lot of bho but not to much full melt hash that's why I need Frenchys full melt!!

Exactly, pour the alcohol into a Pyrex that's easy to scrape and let it evaporate. Basically treat it like a qwISO. I recommend pour threw a cough filter too. Qwiso is something I know of very well.

Hey WarMachine, I know San Jose Organics recently had some of Boo Boo's Bubble, I think it was the OG Eddy Lepp, and that took first place at the 2013 Emerald Cup. And I think Harborside at times may have some pretty good full melt, but I can't speak from experience, I've never been to either of these collectives myself, I've just heard. Yeah BHO dominates the market and trying to find good solvent less can be tough. We're lucky to have hash makers like Frenchy, because I know making really good quality solvent less hash is not all that lucrative, but patients like myself greatly appreciate it.

Hello,

here Iam with the modded mini wash, not straight to the mod by frenchy

First the search for the right elbow was a whole journey.
At Last resort, I have chosen a triple elbow. I removed one to keep the 2 with 90° angle.
The resulted hole is condemned and waterproof!

I was so busy working on this mod I may have forgotten to shoot some pictures but the essential is here

4 screws to remove:

And here we are now:
this-hidden-creature-676548-albums-mini-wash-mod-picture2951523-belly-beast.jpg

I used a cutter with caution to remove the pipe, the plastic is so weak it was done in a few seconds:

Like Frenchy gently said, you have to calculate it right for the elbow...
I did it right on the second try.

New Pipe:

Waterproofing:

Note: the black box on the right, has been turned by a quarter to apply silicone without extra effort.
don't forget to reset it to its initial position.

Waterproof done:

Yeah I know... better more than less... I guess

The elbow:

IMPORTANT: you must heat the new pipe to put the elbow AND to put the new pipe to the machine exhaust.

Easier way: boiling water, dive the pipe section in the warm water, wait a few minutes. Work Fast! if not the plastic will get hard back.
The last resort way: Take a lighter and turn around the pipe section with the fire.
Dont worry this kind of pipe will not burn if you keep moving the fire around it.

I had to cut the plastic arc at the exit, just because it was simplier with the new pipe:

I brought back the 2 parts together. Be careful for the cables.

Last but not least, I used clamp collars, one for the power cable and be sure it will not touch the new exhaust once repaired.
The other for the exiting pipe:

Mission accomplished:

I hope it can help.

Dear Frenchy, could you explain how your machines died over the time?
knowing the weakness is better.

Thanks to your explanations, I got confidence to open it and achieve the mod.
In one week my querkle trims will enjoy the first run :leaf:

Merci du fond du coeur:peace:

Frenchy here's the pic I was talking to you about...it's very dry feels waxy when I shave it down to smoke but appearance is dry. I'm at a loss on how to describe it, already smoked some lol. I pressed after bout two weeks keeping it beach sand style so it was super dry upon pressing?

Frenchy, A question on catch bag and edibles. As I'm using just 3 bags the 160 is all plant matter. You mention using it for edibles. I do have the 220 triangular shaped bag that came with the machine and was thinking I could use it to catch the plant matter by
using a portion of it between the hose and the 160. [not filling it with trim though] Would that be of any benifit? Also, If I do buy a 190 instead, would it be that much better than the 220 and really improve the 160?
Barring all the above, would just cooking with all the matter in my 160 catch bag be any use?

Hey War Machine, thanks for the input, I shy away from chemicals but I do hate to waste too . Also don't have lots and lots to play with. That said,
What do you mean by a "cough filter"

I don't blame you but if done correctly, you should have no worries.

And sorry I meant coffee filter, mohican is correct in that :-)

125% yes. I use it all the time for my capsule mixture and it is amazing, as long as you have some very good product and not just plant matter. I am actually getting ready to run a batch and if you'd like I can do a tutorial in a thread and show you how I use it. Also sorry Frenchy I am sorry for spammin your thread at least I feel I spam sometimes.
