Exactly, frozen a little longer, but well dried and cured it can last quite a long time. I am working on some Aficionado trims from 2012 that are still amazing.

Wow okay i can see i need to make a drying system a rack than under it has a screen to catch plant matter but let tricomes fall threw with glass under it so i dotn waste and tricomes when drying. ill see what i can make in a few months i have time oh here are my 16 day old babies. well from seed/germ/plant 16 day total.

My last experience [with the help of a mini wash] I had included some forgotten trims.
They were in a cardboard box, gently settled within a newspaper page... I was quite astonished by the look. Assuming trims were there for many months [if not a whole year].
stored like this upon my fridge, in a cool place with no direct light to it [sure this was helping a lot]
When I store dry trims in glass container like I would do with flowers, I often smell much more green when I open the container from time to time.

I had run into some trouble a couple years ago and everything got packed up and buried a couple feet deep with a flower garden planted over top of it. 2 half gallon jars of trim were among the items buried. A year later maybe longer when it was dug up the trim looked just like the day I put it there. It made some hash and the most powerful butter I had made to date. the hash was low quality but of no fault of the trim, I was a hack back then and didn't have frenchie's videos to guide me, the quality was less because of my lack of knowledge. It is all about curing, exactly like flowers. Aren't you curing your trichomes when you cure flowers?

Pardon my beginner question[again] If one has 6 week old trim double bagged [in ziplock bags then in vacuum sealed outer bags] what should be done with it [if any thing] before 'running' it?

You are all good to go. Let the trims soak in water for 10 to 20 min before running so that they don't break into powder.
Stop being sorry when you ask question guys, I am truly here to answer them and help beginners even more so

Thanks Man, I figured that since my trim was dry, it was fine to leave air tight until use, but when people mentioned curing trim I figured I'd better ask.
BTW pressing some of my dried trichomes I have some varied results but from last time I now have a beautiful brown cannoli of 73 curing and an exquisite hand pressed chocolate noir colored ball
A nice jump in the learning curve if I do say so myself

The hand pressed ball is first wash and has the most amazing texture and smell after 30 plus minutes of pressing
