The Geek Light / Geek Beast Pro thread

Let's discuss all things Geek Light.

I'm the happy owner of 2 Geek Beast Pros in my 4x8 tent. It's been a few weeks since I've put them in.

The plants went through a little bit of light stress and a nutrient lockout issue but they seem to be on the right track now.

Lights are at 60% brightness and I'm not using any UV or IR right now.

Man I would love to try no till living soil one day. I think I might give it a shot in my outdoor garden next season.

How do you have your Geek Beast set up for flower? Full brightness, UV & IR?

Update on my plants. I'm somewhere around week 3 of flower with my 8x4 tent with the Geek Beast Pros. Unfortunately yesterday I found two of the plants herm'd and a few pollen sacs had opened so I'll probably be dealing with some seeds. I'm thinking it's genetic as those two plants are the only two of that strain I had in the tent. I put those plants outside.

I'm still trying to get the temperatures in my tent down. I live in Central California and it's HOT here. My tent averages around 84*F on a 10PM to 10AM light cycle. The house has central cooling and the exhaust fan is running at 100% (ventilated out the window) when the lights are on.

I have a 4x4 tent with a KingBrite 480W in there and the temps are a few degrees lower. I have Runtz going in both of my tents, and the ones in the 4x4 seem to be much bulkier. This tent is a week or two ahead of the other tent so I'm not 100%. My plans were to use this 4x4 and the KingBrite for Veg and the 4x8 and the Geek Beasts for Flower but these results so far are a bit concerning.

I'm thinking the temperature difference is enough to affect the growth in the 4x8 tent. It's very hard to get my VPD in a nice range since I have to run the exhaust at 100% to cool the tent down which also brings the RH way down. The bulky plant could also be pheno as this seems to be outgrowing the other two plants in the tent anyways. I'm a bit butthurt that I didn't clone this plant in veg :(

I just got mine yesterday and put it in my 4x4. Bluetooth and wifi adapter as well. It’s a pretty badass light so far

Whats with the fucked up Crooked shade with the LED ribbons just hanging from it.
Lol those shop light was just a joke, but bs aside they work great for veg, 5000k, 80+cri daisy chain up to 4 making it great for 4x8 veg spread I’ll show that setup when I get a chance.

Light operating at 100% since hung!
This is day 3 from flip, plants had stretched 10” from day of last pic taken. Raised the geekbeast light 28” above canopy as I want the pants to stretch a little while I steer them. Cmh fixtures still hung same height but canopy is a 2’ now and will raise when canopy reaches 16-18” then raise back to 2’.

Will do another update hopefully when u lollipop them n put trellis up

I haven’t used the Mars fc6500 but the geekbeast pro is an absolute monster. The wifi controller is great too with the ability to set timers for the light, UV and infrared separately

I guess this feature already outcome my decision over the hydromars. Gonna get the plus soon.

So there is 2 options here, the 3000k model is just for flower and 3500k is for veg n flower.

Is this correct?
