Well, it wasnt directed at you...more of a general comment really. But if I did have a gun, and they werent stopping if I said stop, then yeah, I'd shoot em.That's why we have the right to bear arms...to protect ourselves in our own homes as we see fit.

Due to some of statements you have made here in this thread I can not take you seriously maybe you have family members who are criminals and are apathetic or maybe you have watched too many dirty harry/deathwish movies and actually think that law abiding gun owners GO LOOKING FOR TROUBLE.

The real truth is that Criminals willingly risk their lives whenever they decide to break into a home that is not theirs, Those of us who care enough about our families to own self defense firearms should not automatically assume that a person who breaks into your home in the middle of the night means you no harm, You have to Err on the side of caution and the side of your family.

First of all I want serious moron...anyway, like i said, i live by myself, I can take care of myself, I dont need to kill anyone that comes in my house...just because you most likely wouldnt get prosecuted doesnt make it ethical...like I already said If you have family, whatever...I live by myself and Im not a fucking pussy...You guys claim "id assume the worst" well...I wouldnt..Im not some weakly little girl, I dont think Im going to be targeted by a rapist or serial killer...I dont sympathize with criminals...I sympathize for human life jackass...If you guys are fine with killing someone for coming on your property, thats fine...so am I if theyre their to harm me...if I see them trying walk out with my tv Im gonna hit them with a bat or just hit them myself...i dont need to shoot them in the back...I dont think if someone comes in my house it is neccesarily a death sentence...I guess thats where we are different.....if they ran out of my house, theres no need for me to shoot them, their trying to flee....I wouldnt shoot an unarmed person or shoot a person in the back...thats a bitch move

Sigh why oh why, with the weakly little girl thing? John Gacy managed to kill some fairly strapping young boys...carpenters and the like.Now, granted, he wasnt breaking into their houses,but just because youre a strong man doesnt mean you can't be subdued and that you can't be a rapist or serial killer's target. Do what you wanna do in your own house. But why should my life have less value than anyone who breaks into my house, even if I did live alone? If you hesitate, they may take it as a sign of weakness. Now you don't have to blow their brains out at soon as they come in, but by god seize control of the situation...even strong men can be injured.

I'm a brute. I'm in great shape and I can fight.

If someone intrudes in my home, I have to assume they are trying to rob or kill me. Therefor these people are criminals. Sometimes criminals have guns. I am not going to take a chance and try to fight with someone when they could potentially shoot me. If you want to fight them, than go right ahead. But, I'll fight fire with fire in my domain.

Well, homegrown, I'm glad you are so tough. The invasive home attacks seen in these here parts are usually done by gun wielding thugs that beat old people like me into submission and force them to give up their valuables at the point of a gun, and most times, kill them anyway. Here is my point. It is better to have a gun if you need one than to need one and not have one. And you must have it handy, and be prepared to use it. pointing a gun at a gun wielding thug will get you killed. A baseball bat would get you gone very fast.
