Thanks for the compliments guys!

Other then a few minor problems everything seems to be going okay so far. When i first swtched my timer to 12/12 i noticed that the plant was stretching almost 1 inch per day tho, this went on for almost 1 week. After that the buds really started to show and the stretching slowed down bigtime, the plant was 11 inches tall when i put her on 12/12 and now shes 23 inches tall.

Yesterday was 28 days or 4th week of flowering and i see some white hairs are turning color already and the buds are getting fatter.. yay.. I am getting very excited.

Hey toke, how you doin?

I just had a couple questions. I had that same problem as you early on with the droopy curling leaves and no growth at all. Some bottom leaves were yellow and I thought I's overwatered. But I mean our plants look exactly the same. so laid off on the water and nutes. They never recovered and I had to kill em. I guess you were lucky. What did you do to save em?

Also what's your final conatiner size here for flowering?

Your grow looks tasty by the way!

I am assuming the problem was a lack of nutrients. I was only feeding the plants water and my grow medium has almost no nutritional value. As soon as i started adding nutrients the plants started to recover. I also added some "superthrive" i posted a picture of this stuff somewhere in my journal.

My container is 2 1/2 gallons but not full because i didn't have enough medium. My next grow will be hydro so i don't really want to buy more soil, vermiculite, and perlite unless i have to.

youve invested some money in that grow, do u think it just wouldve been worth to go hps? and how bad was the electric bill every month with those 5 45w cfls? very nice grow btw thats good smoke.

I was planning on using a 400W HPS for flowering. If you go back and have a closer look at my journal you would see why i can't. The CFL's hardly even put a dent im my power bill because now i turn off all appliances and lights when not in use and i lowered the temp in my refrigerators to 40*. My next grow will on a larger scale so i will definitely buy a HPS for flowering and i can still use the CFL's for vegging or even in the garage/around the house.

they look amazing. Would you flower again at 11 inches or wait until its taller? your grow journal is really helpin me out. keep up the good work.

man thats lookin damn Toke!! probably the best best lookin i've seen so far with cfl's...grown a lot bigger then i thought it would...i misted the reason u went with cfl's too, was it b/c of heat or $$? cant wait to see the harvest!

Heat and money are NOT an issue. Too many people know about my grow is the reason i killed all the other plants. They know that im growing and want me to hook them up for next to free. Now they see that i only have 1 plant and they know i wont be selling any buds from it( I made that real clear). I'm only flowering 1 plant and i had all those CFL's kickin' around so i had to give it a try.

I will be doing a hydro grow pretty soon(when i think the coast is clear lol) and will be using HPS for flowering. I will start another journal for the hydro when i get things rollin'

Dig that, i definetly understand, theres always some1 tryin to get somethin for free...If they ask again just tell em like Smokey told the Rev on Friday "YOU DIDNT PUT IN ON THIS MAN" The last pics look real good...have you been surprised at how good its turned out using the cfl's or is that about right for them...peace

Toke, great thread. I look forward too seeing the harvest bud. If mine look this good when I am done, I will be a very happy gardener.

I know you have been watching my thread. Now that it appears folk are interested I will start a new thread as a "grow log." I guess mine will be "CFL Round 2, From Bag Seed to Bong." ;)

I'm not real surprised with the results so far, i figured it would do pretty good with all those CFL's. This is my first grow and the whole process has been very exciting though.
