Gadaffi was Libya, there were very few refugees.
Assad is Syria and thats what caused the refugee crisis.
It didn't help that Merkel said "If you make it to Germany we'll let you stay" despite that being against the principle that you're expected to claim asylum in the first safe country you reach.

you forget Libya is part of the diaspora & was the country holding back the floodgates of millions of african economic refugees,the actual # of Libyan citizens killed is about 50k but the ensuing civil war has taken over 300k,its all interconnected

your missing the point,being deported yes,until then hundreds of thousands are roaming through several countrys,creating vast crimes,many made it to Germany & Sweden and were accepted in the early days,now the rest are being housed,fed,clothed,medical care and slowly deported at great expense,all could have been avoided by simply staying out of Libya.So why are the vast majority of refugees from Syria then
