The initial investment

So i will be starting my first indoor system soon and i figured what better place to ask for info from the gurus then here. I did some rather brief searches across the web and did not quite find out what i was asking specifically and that is what would be required to consistently produce a pound lets say of a heavy indica strain a month.

So what i guess im directly asking would be is what lights would be required for this mind you this is going to be a sea of green and i would really prefer to stick to LEDs and where i would then procure the lights as well as the amount of space that would be required and if the whereabouts of some awesome hydro and aeroponic kits as well as some premium ORGANIC nutrients for the hydro system could be disclosed would be a major help. Any help in any direction of this would be unimaginably appreciated beyond words. because i have not really found much of anything especially in terms of the the minimum amount of LED light systems to invest in to produce said amount.

That's because anyone interested in producing pounds knows that LED isn't going to cut it... I'm not an LED grower, so take what I say here with a grain of salt, but I have been around the block a few times and have seen my share. If you'd like more detail about LED growing check out ICMag.com, they did a couple tests a year or so ago. LED lights got SMASHED on.

But, for what it is worth, you need to be harvesting about 450 grams per month. In a 4 plant per square foot SOG, and at 10 grams per plant, that's a good 45 plants. Let's make it 48. 48 plants will need 12 square feet of room. You'll need 3 sets of plants also, so 36 square feet should cover it. If you do flood tables you could get maybe four 3x3 tables, or three 4x4 tables.

Each table is going to need at least 300 watts of power. I've never grown with LED, so I can't do much of a watt for watt comparison, but I know that having "too much" LED lighting isn't a common problem. Their casting distance is really bad, so you can't keep the system very high above the plants. If your LED system is say 300 watts and 18"x12" then your coverage area is probably close to 24"x18", or about 3 square feet. So you'd need 12 of those 300 watt systems by my count to cover the area you need to.

Figure $600 on the cheap end for each system, that's only like $8,000 to $9,000 online after shipping and tax... All to run 3600 watts.

What I would do is provide adequate ventilation and run three 600w systems over three 3x3 flood tables. The three 600w systems will cost $1200, and I would be using 1/2 the power of the setup I proposed above.

A pound a month isnt going to happen, because you usually need around 8 weeks or more for flowering alone.
i believe hes talking about perpetual grow... ex: start second crop one month after first crop is planted, giving him harvest one month after first and so forth, just keep repeating, plant crop each month = harvest each month
