im no expert mate dont know much about autos myself but some research ive done advises the light to be as close as possible without burning them otherwise the plant will stretch and get limp but by stretching apparently dont produce anymore bud.

Im with xBladeX. i grew autos under a 250w in a cool tube and had them about 2 inches from the glass. Next ones I did I had the bulb slightly further away to see did it make a difference and they grew much taller with less bud. Rule of thumb usually is if you can hold the back of your hand underneath it comfortably its ok for the kids

anyone here with lots of experiance growing outside in Ireland?Me and a mate have some growing bt they seem to be PRetty slow finishing......they are in pots,bout 27''x14''x14''??could this have some affect?i'll take some pics tomorrow and put them up.any help much appreciated....

I did 3 autos under the 250w what. Getting about 3 and a half oz dry bud every harvest. Really good smoke too. Tokin on some Red Dwarf as I speak. The weed in the ashtray is the Red Dwarf and I can see why it got its name. Ive done Red and White Dwarf, Auto blue mystic, Hymalayan blue diesel, Roadrunner. Anything with blue in it defo is not daytime smoke. Really like the autos. Found them good for learning as it happens so fast and you wont get bored.

Check my signature and you'll see the link to my latest grow. On the first page is my grow cab. With 3 good autos in there it was pretty full. They get bigger than you think.

hey paddy lad nice set-up i was thinking of pretty much the same thing but then i found somewhere with a little more space so i can try maybe 9 autos under either 400w or 600w hps(although not sure what light to go with as both setups are round same price) have you ever tried ak47 autos yet? i think ill do maybe 3 of each, blueberry,ak47 and maybe try the white widow auto although havent heard much about the ww since i dont think its been out too long but worth a go. have you ever done a seed run by the way?

If there both around the same price blade go with the 600. Way more bang for you euro man.

thanks richie mate i think i will as it shouldnt be too much more electric i wouldnt think. im only doing 9 autos at most you see and just wasnt sure if i got 600w would it be wasted on them when a 400w would do the same job? but i think your right fk it and go for the 600w and hopefully some fat ass buds at the end

Good stuff, id say they will grow to there full spec with a 600. You might want to get some good air circulation in there as a 600 will put out considerbly more heat ya know.

hi richie i miss looking out window and seeing my plants lol all i have now is 2 small plants but i will keep feeding them see whts happens during winter this summer i will get new plants in quick but i cant grumble had good crop for 1st time grower and i still plenty to smoke and got 2 plants drying ,stuff am smoking at min has been drying from semptember sooo dry and great smoke
i was looking at pics of them when they were just 3 days old , think i planted about 10 1 died and other was male and other 8 were female so i did pretty good on my next grow i will be growing hawian skunk again i like it alot

they are three seeds i pulled out of a bag of blue cheese, i think its just luck that they are all females, one of them is well in front of the other two as there growth was stunted a bit, now they are all growing about an inch a day. theyre looking quite healthy now thank god but some of the leaves are still a bit curled but that will just take time i suppose to sort out.
i need to get this ufo led light oredered now as i dont think you can buy them over here. are all the ones on ebay ok fellas?

Hey buddy. What you mean by a seed run. I used to buy my seeds from the Irish seed bank but when nirvana burnt down all that went. Buy mine from attitude now. If you can go for the 600w. Most efficient wattage you can get. Covers a metre by a metre so you'll defo squeeze nine under. All I know is ak 47 stinks. Of you have any issue with smell stay clear. One of the few strains that they tell you online that the smell is powerful. Blueberry is good too but not personnally my preference as it's too knockout. Stay away from nirvana auto too. Unstable genes and I've had bubblicious that never autoed

yes mate portrush/portstewart id nearly swear i replied to this comment already a few days ago but was lookin thru there and couldnt find it so soz if you got this twice lol.. anyway got my reflective mylar roll,24hr timer,curing jars from badass asda like £1 each, hygromometer ordered and soil ph tester now just need the fucking light, seeds, soil and pots then il be well on my way. think ill be too late to get a harvest for xmass but hopefully have a nice stash to smoke after new year so if you ever up in ports gv me a shout mate. cant fuckin wait im fed up smokin that mass produced sprayed to shit sore throat material that wouldnt get a gerbil stoned. the only thing i have to look forward till then is a mate in the damm i play modern warfare 2 with online. he sends me a 5g bag of amnesia all ground up in a birthday card for 40 euro. so do you think the bubblegum auto is nicer smoke than the ak?

Your a jammy jammy fucker, contact in amsterdam, I had one but he moved away form the dam (don't understand the move). I wouldn't know about the quality of smoke to compare in all honesty, only reason I bought ak's was because I was in the shop and the money was spare I would rather have bought the bubblegum hands down, medicinal value + sweet taste = Knockout weed. Plus the 1st grass I smoked was bubblegum so it would bring back fond memories of me out cold on my mates sofa after a 3 hour laughing session.

I don't get a lot of time to travel to tell you the truth man but rest assured if I'm ever up that way for a skate I'll give you a shout before hand so you can get out and about for a while.

Luc I think the reason you got females is because you got your seeds from a bag that had seeds in it which means it was either pollinated weed or a hermaphrodite. All hermaphrodite plants produce female or hermaphrodite seeds, just keep a real good eye on the girls the same as I am with mine. I definitly would let them flower now instead of veggin' because of the tendency for females to shock themselves into producing seeds if their stressed your multiplying the chance by stressing hermaphrodite seeds.

Let me know how you get on with the UFO light as I said I'm gonna buy on around xmas time so a first hand review would be amazing.

this is the first grow and the difference from whats been smoked lately should be x10 better, there is a lot of shite out there at the minute and people want silly money for no weight.
dioremick, i am going to be ordering the ufo tonight or tomorrow because four cfls on the three females is not cutting it now, they seem to be making the temp drop really quick in the cupboard aswell, it was always about 20-21 c in there but now with same conditions its 18-19c, dont know if its because they are bigger now and taking more shit out of the air!
when i get the ufo i will take regular pics so everyone can see what the flowering stage is like. only worry i have now really is that some of the old fan leaves are getting the little brown crusty bits on the edges of the leaves but apart from that all the new shoots are looking really nice. ill put a few pics up tonight.

as far as im aware you cant clone autos but please do correct me if im wrong, so i just meant have you ever pollinated an auto for future seeds instead of buying them? i will maybe try this seedrun in time but to save any extra hassle just buy them for a while. smell shouldnt be too much of a problem i hope but with the money i save on not buying smoke i think i would invest in a carbon filter just to be sure. i heard nirvanna had bad genes aswell i see they have taken the auto strains of sale because of complaints being unstable. i like the sound of the blue strains a knock out smoke is what im looking for at night to help me get to sleep and something light and buzzy in the day to be social.

yes mate it has become popular ppl spray weed with lemonade and drop fine crushed glass as its growing to add extra weight and give a crystally thc effect its fuckin mad i used to love buying weed instead of hash cuz i thought cant go wrong with organic material as it cant be messed with like soap bar with plastic in it but how wrong was i? i dont blame any1 for growing their own so big respect to everyone here for growing and putting their middle finger up to lining the pockets of gangs and dealers.
