Those spider farmer are about 100-150 quid. Personally I'd go for a decent, knock off, over brand name lights. Either will kick your current lamps arse tho

Yeah originally I was looking for a knock off but by the time shipping was included the price was the same, Spider Farmer seem to have discount codes going all the time. I think I got mine for €135 and shipping was free. Do you mind me asking how much the knock off was? Was it yourself who posted the link to alibaba a few months ago when I was asking which to go for?

I got 2 sets of 2 panels, with the Samsung lm301b and ir diodes, and dimmable drivers. Each panel can take up to 120w each. And like Fishbulb said, built a frame. Think I paid just under €250 for the lot, which just made sense at the time because the same total wattage in a SF woulda cost me about twice that. Yea id say it was either me or Fishbulb that posted it. Here's the one I got, though its not listed anymore


I suppose what ya wanna weigh up is the total wattage between models, the quality of parts used, and how much ya wanna spend

Some of the lights are yeah. They are top shelf quality though HLG, second to none

The kit section does reasonable price ones which are still highest quality.

No comparison to all that Chinese stuff which for the big lights is still high hundreds euros now

Whats HLG mean? What diodes do they use? From what I've seen the Samsung lm301b are the best bang for your buck.

I dunno if I'd agree, it would cost close to €650 to build a 520w rig. Whereas I spent just shy of €250 euro for my 480w setup which was "plug n play".

It's totally compareable. We compare the parts used and the price asked, where its made makes little difference.

A single HLG Diablo board has 648 leds. Other companies use less than half but pump up the current.

I'd forgotten they'd upgraded to the lm301h tbh.

The diabolo is even more expensive though and a larger light. (The lm301b are 2.7umol AFAIK.) how does the 260w kit match up to this spec wise?

What is well known is anything by HLG is better than any other brand's spec.

Appreciate theres a budget for everything so thats most important. But when I see folk pay 5-600 GBP/EUR for some dodgy Chinese junk, I think just paying 20% more for all long warranty and local customer service is priceless.

Compare the datasheet for Samsung LM301H ( for Horticulture Lighting Group only not the general LM301H ) to general LM301B dude

The devil is always in the detail

Theres a whole difference between the HLG 301H and some avergage bin 301B, not to mention Bs corrode in grow environments.
