just a little pic update. nothing much to see. gave her her first bloom feed tonight. I am at 7 days 12/12
 
jingle why do you leave the faded leaves on her? with new growth can you not take a few of the damaged leaves off/ even some of the bigger fan leaves?

would this be a bad thing or a good thing to do?

anyone ever used baby bio? got some today
 
just catching up on american chopper, and soprano repeats with a cuppa and a spliff... sometimes, just sometimes life is good..

no i dont check my ppm. havent a clue. the yellowing is from an earlier problem.

i made the scrog from the side of an old cot and some twine

another day, some more growth, little but there getting there....

while i`m on about growth, there are three that are fairly decent there all in the 12 to 14 inch bracket then the other two are like 5 and 7 inchs tall, this is really screwing with my lights, the homemade hood is now becomeing an obstacle, have two bulbs lowered but that can only be temp....

heading to town to see if i can get some cable and light fittings and re do the whole thing ..

(just hope the little one was finished with it before you nicked half the cot..:)
 
Fuck fuck fuck. I might have to throw my 2 plants away. The auto is showing a few pistils but no further signs of bud development. It has also grown 3" in the last 24 hours. About 10" in the last few days. What a shitty auto, doesn't flower until turned to 12/12.

The OG kush is a runt. Little to no vertical growth and it's so bushy none of the nodes are getting ANY light. It is showing no signs of flowering after being in 12/12 for a week and a half. Hasn't even started to stretch. Going to give these 2 plants 1 week from now to redeem themselves. If they don't I will just bin them. The shitty thing is I have some really good genetics here, I don't know why I started with these shitty freebies to grow out.

Apparently this auto will grow to 6 feet high if not autoflowered. I can see this happening. Rant over.

Autoflowers are generally pretty shite unless you go with The Joint Doctors beans man, Easyryder is easily the best auto out there.

Why not just do 12/12 from seed with feminised photoperiod plants? They're cheaper to buy, the weed is alot stronger, they produce more, take more abuse and you'd only ever have to run your lights 12/12. Plus theyre 1000x more consistent.
 
Yeah I've learned my lesson here. I've never grown autos before so I didn't know what to expect, but I planted it because I've bee dry for the last 2 months and wanted the quickest smoke I could get. But fuck me, this grow might be the biggest disaster of the 21st century.

A fast flowering strain 12/12 from seed will produce in about 10 weeks, the same as an auto.

I used to LOVE autos, then I wanted the control.

You are just full of good ideas :P Alhough given say an 8 week strain I thought it would take about 12 weeks to finish from seed on 12/12, as the plant will need to reach a level of maturity before it flowers.
 
Iv found it'll usually grow for about 2 weeks from seed before pistils appear, then 8 weeks ish later happy days ;)

On an aside, Bloomandgrow won't replace my digital ballast, bit disappointed cos that's two that died within 1 year of their first use, digital ones are supposed to be good for 10 years, I won't be fooled into paying extra again, 600w magnetic all the way for me now.
 
so harrekin what seeds would you suggest for the 12/12 from seed.? what seeds are fast flowering coz i wouldnt belive the times that the seed banks say. and what type of plant, sativa dom or indica dom.?
 
gots more light fittings so hood out later and revamped, can`t do it properly until the bulbs arrive but i have some smaller cfls will do for now...
