Thought so =) awesome then =) Cna't wait for the rest of my hardware to arrive on monday so I can set it all up and get it perfectly going.

Also, another question! (haha I know, I have loads of questions)

I'm thinking of extracting my hot air into my bathroom ventilation hole (the standard type for smells and fog). Would I need to get a smell filtering system?
I live in a 4 story high building, so I expect the output hole will be up high. Do you think it will stink up other people's apartments? (I would think not, or we would be smelling everyone's dumps)
Do you think it would be risky if someone ever went up on the ceiling (which is normally off bounds) and smelled it, recognized it, and sent for authorities?

Am I being too paranoid? xD

Howdy all,

Yesterday I smoked a huge Waterfall Bong Bowl of Bubblegum.... just freakin' wow... Loved it, definitely going to invest in some of those seeds! Damn what a ride.

Anyway, time for some pics of progress...

So the Sleestack is still in the lead with new growths and what looks like it's first 3 finger leaf set =) I think it may have a faster root growth, and maybe it's already gotten to the Hempy's water reservoir. They say once it hits the bottom, the growing pics up extremely fast, so... I guess that's why =P

The Devil's Weed is a little behind but is trying hard. Yesterday it was very droopy, and I thought it might be over water since the vase is still pretty heavy. BUT I sprayed some water on it's leaves and it stretched out a bit, so I concluded that it was just thirsty. Meaning that the root system still hasn't reached the water at the bottom, explaining the whole delay =)

I love this stuff... =)

Awesome start to your grow man! Tell us about the strains and where d you get them?
Thanks brotha' =)

The strains... Devil's Weed is more of an experiment. I have access to lots of seeds because I've lived where they grow most. Sleestack is a freebie seed I got from another purchase and I found it interesting, so went for it.

Devil's Weed:
Devil's Weed (a.k.a Red Weed) is a semi-wild strain that grows freely in an island in the Azores (Portuguese island territory). It's well known in Japan as being "gourmet" weed. It's also known as Erva do Pico. Pico Weed, in English.
It has a big variety of phenotypes because of wild crossing, but most have flat stems in adulthood. It tends to have asymmetric node groth, making for a wild looking bush.
Like this one I planted a few years ago(didn't end well, the root system basically rotted off):

Anyway, the main attraction of this plant are it's red buds (the purer strains only) that only become really red by the very end of the flowering period.
It has a very clear and creative high with a somewhat strong aphrodisiac property to it. Nearly no body buzz.
My interest in this strain is because I know many people have heard of it, and some have even tried it, but nobody has stabilized it and studied it in a deeper way (at least that I know of). SO now I'm trying to grow it into a good plant and see what it gives me. If I like it I may try to become a Devil's Weed breeder =) Since it's a strain from home. =)

The Sleestack:
The Sleestack was a freebie seed, and I never thought much of it. Until I went searching and found this:
http://www.marijuana.com/news/2013/10/sleestack-marijuana-strain-review-and-photos/
After I read it, and specially after the "Sleestack may have mildly psychedelic attributes" I was completely sold xD

So yeah, that's that =)

Keep cheking =)

Lookin like you're off to a great start Jad3! I just built a similar setup in my bathtub and will be watching your grow. I'd suspect your biggest challenge might be keeping them short enough? Got plans to keep them short?

Also, love the photos. I look forward to watching your girls grow up, especially your Erva do Pico. [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Very cool to see experiments with local, "wild" weed.

Subscribed and best of luck.

Thanks buddy =)

If you check my other grow threads you'll notice I'm quite proficient at making baby weed bonsais xD I know, they're ridiculous. But from that I've learned and perfected the ways and reasons of making short plants. =) Let's see how it turns out!

Hope you enjoy the ride!

Hello again, friends,

Last night I was flying very high, and got a hold of my camera.

Hope you like these few photos =)

As you can see, the plants still aren't in the cabinet I built. This is because my hardware hasn't arrived yet. Possibly today.

As soon as I have my vent and light setups ready and calibrated, I'll move them, and make a new update.

Take care, all!

I'm excited!

Finally all the hardware is here!
And already the most part is up and running!

Now some final temperature tests and calibrations before putting the little ones in there!

Here's how it looks:

So, now I just need to get some bungees so I can suspend the silencer box and make it anti-vibrations, hence more silent.

Tomorrow I shall have the final conclusions about my temperature stabilization.

Take it easy brothers!

Hey all!

I have taken the little ones to their new home! Hope they love it there!

Temperatures stabilize at 24 to 27ºC. I put a PC fan that turns on/off every other 15 min, simulating windy periods.

Let's hope this time everything turns out great!

Here are some pics:

I had a little cabinet with a 150 that had the ballast connected. It was in the cab with the light (obviously) and I cooled it easily with a 50CFM bathroom fan so you should be good to go there.
