The Magical Butter Machine

Got an hour to go on my first batch of canna oil using my new Magical Butter Machine. Used 2+ Cups Coconut
oil, 1 TBS Lecithin and 1 oz of good indica bud (Black Afghani Kush and Afghan Kush). Set the temperature @
190 degrees and the time set for 8 hours. I've read many places that 160 degree for 2 hour makes way
too weak an oil. I don't care if i lose a little THC as I'm taking this for chronic nerve pain and insomnia. Once
the oil cools i'll put some of it into my 00 Capsules and then tonight i'll find out what i have here. Anyone else
out there that has used MBM @ the 8 Hour time and or used it at 190 degrees ?

I set MBM to 160F
I did 2C coconut oil/lecithin/2 oz. cannabis for 2 hrs. in MBM,
strained it and recooked the same now oil soaked cannabis with 2C Everclear for 8hr tincture. Strained it (easy now to get it all out), reduced alcohol and was left with dark yummy tinc. which I can mix with first batch of pure canna-coconut oil to make more potent.

I just use a crock pot for now, but I have been drooling over this machine for days now. I asked my wife to get it for my birthday, but that is in 2 more months. I wish I had seen it sooner before she bought my Xmas presents.

I use a small crock pot hooked up to a Variac so I can raise the line voltage enough to heat the coconut oil to 260F to decarb the pot right in the oil. Let it cool to 200F then add 15% lecithin and simmer overnight. I go by weight of pot and oil to make either a 20:1 batch or a 15:1 o 10:1. 2ml of the 10:1 is enough to make me want to go to bed. A tsp of it fugs me up real bad and is no fun at all. So I make the 20:1 mostly and a tsp is real good dose.

Decarbing in the oven first cooks off a lot of the terpenes and they are lost. By decarbing in the oil it all gets captured for a much better product. I also use no water in the mix. I want everything the plant has to offer. Tastes fine and I smear it on a cookie or just eat it off the measuring spoon for consistent dosing.

Last batch was Sweet Skunk CBD tested at 12%CBD, 7%THC and it was the best ever for both my joint pain and depression. Just planted 9 seeds for hi-CBD strains last night. One is a bag seed I found in that Sweet Skunk so fingers crossed.

Without a Variac to increase the line voltage an oil bath can be used. Couple inches of canola oil in a pan, bent coat hanger wire on the bottom to keep a smaller pot with the mix off the bottom and a good thermometer to monitor temps. Oil will start to bubble at about 235F as the pot decarbs and once bubbles stop that's done then temps can be lowered.
