Thanks everyone for your answers, this is the way i've done it but again different phenos make the harvest differ with each plant and the "pre-flower" theory had been convincingly defended by some. Only the fool dont ask questions :)

Nug i really enjoy your aproach on growing, like an alchemist you mix poetry and science in what you do, i like the engineering-like approach that allows us to learn that much faster.
If growing isnt a rocket science approaching it the way you do helps building proper patterns that leads to better grow, you're gonna tell me that you're just a piece of a bigger puzzle , still after hours of research on the web i feel like i've found a place where cannabis is taken (realy) seriously - not in an elitist way but in Soma's way of saying that what you give is what you get back - and although the site isnt the most "welcoming" of all i guess it acts as a "douche-filter" (we say in bjj that the first year of practice act as a "cunt" filter - kinda like the fight club thing where you have to show you really want it...)

You all know it , i'm stoned , i just wanted to say thanks and i'm looking forward to keep on learning - as soon as i'll have more time i'll start reading some of you guys threads but we only have 24h in a day...

Have a dank day!

.....time to pollinate my Space Jill and Timewreck.......i will need to make some Chernobyl F-2's in two weeks, so i saved the main flower (in mason jar) to hit my 2 Chern girls...the big mirror works really great for a collection surface.....changed clothes and heading into the flower room with my little paint brush........;-)

Very nice Nugs! looking forward to seeing those crosses!! did you use the grinder o break up and seperate the male flowers from the pollen? and what phenos of the timewreck and space jill are you planning on pollinating?

That male Chern is def. a stud! looks amazing.

I dont mind to hijack the thread, but i never introduce myself.
I clearly havent been growing as long as any of you but i'm a fast learner and a passionate grower!

I started growing with green house seeds -they're cheap...- then went with DNA , here is a pic of one of a Sour Diesel i really enjoyed. She had the smell (and taste) of a weed you would smell when walking by coffee shops in amsterdam in the late 90's!
Also grew Sour Kush that i loved.
I thought i would keep on going with those guys until #1 I tried sub method for hash making (my first full melt almost bring a tear in my eye :) ) #2 I came across the subcool forum and this very thread.

I use to be appart of the strain hunter forum, had a lot of good chats met good people and learn all the basics there, but i realize i'd learn way more over here when i posted a thread on mainlining there and nobody gave a fuck about it when it was -to me at least- a revolution!

I'm glad i came across the thread and once again be sure to see me around.

Have a dank day!

the grinder has a pollen screen in it, but no need to run through grinder....when the pollen is stuck to the mirror, you just lightly fan it with a piece of paper or something similar to "winnow" the flowers off the pollen, i use the grinder just for storage etc.......i only have one Space Jill, but she is looking dank as hell, so she got a big face full....i will also hit both my timewrecks and my harliquin....;-)

holy balls of pollen batman

Nugs on sexing thing. I have a northern lights ( never done before). I vegged for 3 weeks grew 6 nodes of 5 finger leaves. Its been in 12/12 for 2 weeks completed today. No sign of sex at all. It has stretched and grown to 18 inches with 12 nodes. I know its mostly if not all sativa. I do all indicas or indica dom hybrids. Is that normal for sativas? Or is it possible I put into 12/12 to early and it took on the 12/12 from seed method on its own or is it magic..?

I just tried to do this on an older plant and split the stem in half. :( I had to take string and wrap the stem with it and tape it back together. I'll try this on a newly rooted clone, they seem to be more flexible. It worked on one plant but the other just split. With clones you can tie them in a not without problems.

THANK YOU for sharing such valuable information.. Especially given all the time and effort that was put into developing such a beneficial method to maximize and create uniform medicine..

Sexing Update ......Day 3....... 12/12.......:leaf:

.....day three and already have 2 girls and a boy......the plants average 7 inches tall from the soil line and are working on their sixth node.....I am going to keep the Qleaner male around even though he showed early, he is beautiful, nice stocky Querkle structure, and already smells grapey......if he has tight flower clusters, color, and resin i will milk him.

Alright nerds! especially those who are really into photography check this link out!!! http://zerenesystems.com/cms/stacker/docs/gallery Its stacker program that was created for microscopes in creating clearer images. You know when looking through those high intensity microscopic scoopes used in science labs... you have sit there and screw with the knobs and everything trying to bring the image into focus and what a pain in the ass it is?

Well this is a program that was created by a mathamatician, It takes what your looking at and stacks the image so everything is very clear.. I mean this shit makes pollen images on a microscopic level look like grains of rice!! everything in clear focus, now if only it can be used with cameras this would allow our pictures of trichomes, flowers, leaf structure, sexing, and the whole plant look alot better picture wise, more detail and allow us to view and diagnose problems at the microscopic level!!!

But wait theres more!! lol sounds like sales pitch right?... anyways while this was created for microscopes originally this can be used for photography and with cameras! the pics are just unreal and unbelievable how 3d this progam makes them look even. I first found out about this through my Math professor whos friend originally created this. let me know what you all think, thought many of you would find this interesting, and useful!

yeah...i think it was Occanabis that was big on stacking macros....i think it was him....who ever it was was really good at it.......

Sexing (Part Deuce)......:leaf:

....immediately after sex is determined, it is topped and the few nodes underneath are removed leaving the "clone" node and "hub" node....then planted deeply into a 2 gal. smartie....tip...be sure to use Mycos at transplant...your overall yield will be bigger!
