tt,I think lst and mainlining are both good examples of this ancient training technique... If I had the time I would try a restricted growth outdoor plant training them horizontally a foot of the ground cutting each resulting vertical branch above it's first node creating hundreds of smaller buds. Would be a real bitch to trim but probably produce plenty of sugar trim
Not knowing what it was called back then, the mid 70's, I did that from bag seed. Planted the young seedling at one end of a planter and trained the plant to grow about 6 inches off the ground. It was beautiful, had shoots almost covering the whole planter. coming off the stems the new growth was all about 8 inches. This was an outdoor grow so when the time came that it sexed it turned out to be a male.
I would love to try that again. I looked for the pictures of that grow but guess I did not get custody of those pictures in the divorce. LOL
