MAINLINING FTW!.....................note: still think ML-16 is the most efficient....but I only had 3 clones, so I went ML-24, and it worked out stellar......Nerd Up!

beautiful result! 24 colas each plant, it's magic!
Symetry must help for sure by distributing energy for each equaly.

Do you think I could try ML-16 on Ace Of Spades.
I had in mind 8 minimum.

Thank you for this great thread, I was like a kid by reading every page.
Very well explained and demonstrated.

It can only pushes me to try this out and enjoy the benefits.

Cheers nugbuckets

I posted earlier how I thought I was seeing nitrogen toxicity (deep green tips, curling tips) in my main-lined plants. After thinking about it, I think it may have something to do with my use of the so-called "useless" formula.

Normally people run GH Flora's 3-2-1 at half strength. Useless runs it hotter, but I just noticed the nitrogen is disproportionately higher. The N is 12ml which is 0.8 of GH's recommended 15ml. The P-K are 6-3 which both are 0.6 of GH's recommended 10-5 mls.

That probably plays a part. I should probably reduce the N to 9ml which would be 0.6 of GH's recommended dosage, reduced proportionately to the P-K.

I just wanted to followup in case anyone else is using "useless" and sees nitrogen toxicity.

your options are definitely limited during non garden season....but home improvement stores are loaded with all sorts of options come spring....my favorite are enamel coated peonie cages....heavy-duty....
heads up (literally) when going to Depot or Lowes off-season for tomato cages. they usually move the cages off the floor and place in overstock way up high on top of the racks. keep your eyes peeled and ask an associate to pull some down for you.

hey dewds

 it just occurred to me that a good trick to get air beneath your smart pot style container would to buy round cookie cooling racks to set in your drip trays. on amazon right now scoping them out. I'm still reading through the thread. just over half-way.

 also i plan on putting an array of stainless grommets on the top edge of my 2 gallon geo-pots for a simple series of anchor points for wire.

hopefully this helps out at least one of you. Because this place has given up a lot of knowledge. I have zero grow experience but have some decent design ideas every now and then;-)
