The myth of amber trics!!

Ok guys I commented earlier on this thread and though I would see what you guys think. This is the first plant I've grown to flower. This is a side bud but my phone is being stupid and won't let me do another pic. Do you guys think it's close?

I used to wait and wait and wait for the so called "Amber trics" and well most of the strains I have grown baring about 4 of them don't amber. The two I have never amber and finish in 50 days. Don't wait for amber in other words. Watch the Calyxis or however the word is spelled. When the white hairs pull into the little pods and they are mostly gone the swelling of your buds will happen in 1 to two weeks and be done and well as I said never amber. If I waited for amber my ladies would be over done period. So just to make it clear, amber is not the way to gauge harvest times. Listen or don't but if you have one of the new strains, and most are unlike the old ones, don't wait when you see the signs and not the amber. You will wait till they are garbage and miss the best of the best.... Good luck..

My advice is not what others will aggree with but I have no reason to make it up. And for the naysayers I know exactly what I am doing. Hydro is my bag baby so you know but dirt or soiless nothing will change the outcome..

I've only grown a few strains. Same deal. Hardly ever seen an amber trich before they've all finished. But now....I have a wierd problem...


I have a girl that is 8.5 weeks in. Her pistils are still white and have just BARELY started to turn colour. They have NOT started receding yet. But!! - her trichs are already 25% amber. At the rate that the trichs are turning they will be 75%-80% amber before pistils have finished turning colour...

WTF do I do? Harvest her anyway. Or wait for the pistils to turn first?

LOL ... it took you 17 strains to figure out they all don't amber?

Yes,sounds like an indica..and according to the makeup,lots of sativa was bred with indica physical traits being made dominant...that is if that company has real genetics in the first place..those three plants that make up LA blanca,look them up. ...
