I'm about to purchase the Canna Aqua line up w/ additives (P/K13, Rhizo, Boost, Cannazyme). I'm running a DWC setup and have been using RO water. I thought I read somewhere that Cannas line is designed for water w/ ~200PPMs and banking on a majority of that being cal/mag.
Does anyone use their Aqua lineup with RO water? If so what other additives do you use?

just buy some cal mag and you will be good...Probably wont need it untill flowering though

Hey potentrx7. Yeah you want to start with about 200 ppm of cal mag. With your RO water you won't have it so you will need that cal mag from the get go. I use the coco line, not dwc, and found that with the cal mag you won't get defficiencies of cal mag or potassium. When they do start to flower I have found that you need to like double the amount of cal mag to maintain the healthiness.

If you have good tap water where you live with a ppm of 200-400 then you should definitely use that and just make sure to accout for the ppms when you feed.
The tap water at my place has a ppm of 250 and I use it the entire grow and never have cal/mag def. If you have bad tap water with a ppm too high then just read the above quote and you should be fine...GOOD LUCK!!!
Right now im using Canna A+B, Rhizotonic, ph down and Atami Bloombastic....OMG BLOOMBASTIC IS THE BEST SHIT EVER BY THE WAY!!!!! STEROIDS FOR BUD!!!!
But no def with this feed and tap water around 250ppm...check out my grow people...growing some LSD righ now..almost done!!!

Granted my maui's get defficiency with the 2 tsp per gallon that I give them. So they take a little more. Point being even with great water this is where you need the cal mag. But You are right that if the water is around 250 - 400 it should have enough. But unless you have a report from your water board it might not be all cal mag that is accounting for that high of ppm.
Glad your LSD are finishing great though. I have some Durban Diesel and Super Silver x skund finishing right now and so stoked too.

Yeah 45 ppm would definitely be too low and there is no telling how much cal mag is in your tap unless they can tell you. Also depends on strain. I would definitely use the 200ppm of cal mag until you see cal mag def then up the dose once you do.
Bloombastic worked way better for me than the boost. Its like my buds are growing buds its pretty crazy. The bloombastic is pricey though i think its more than the boost but in my opinion its worth it because it adds weight, flavor and aroma...(atleast thats what they say) I have definitely noticed more resin and weight to the plant and i can not wait to smoke it!!! About week 7 right now so only 1-2 more weeks left!!!

hey guys
ive got a Q.. When would you start using my 600w hps dual spec light on my girl? im usin 2x45w cfl's at min as you can see from the pics on page 90...
would you wate till i flower or would she benifit now with it bein a dual spec bulb for veg&flower
i can get the 600w pretty close because its air cooled so dont think she'll strech that much.

If i were you I would switch to the 600w when you think you have about one week left to veg then i would switch it on for a week then switch to flower...Thats my opinion. Everything looks great though your plants look super healthy and happy. Good luck man!!!

It wont grow any faster it will just get taller faster or "stretch". You dont want this because that means less bud sites and a tall ass plant. You want to keep it under blue light so it gets fat and bushy. If you plan on flowering at 12" 15" i would veg under a blue light till about 8-10" then switch to the hps and once it gets where you want it switch the lights to 12/12

Looking for the same answers myself regarding BOOST, BLOOMBASTIC, PK, GRAVITY....
heres what I know for sure....
BOOST and BLOOMBASTIC are completely different products, there is no reason you cant use them together, thats what i've been doing. (and yes it does get pricey)
If cost is an issue than you will get a hell of a lot more bang for your buck with the BLOOMBASTIC. No contest. What I do now is start BOOST full blast on day 13 of flower and go all the way through(same as the canna schedule), thanks to jb's clarification on how I was reading the canna schedule incorrectly, I am now using PK effectively at 4ml/gal around weeks 3.5-6. Immediately after I stop with the PK, the BLOOMBASTIC comes in at 4ml/gal to finish the last 4 weeks. I love BLOOMBASTIC and i'm glad to finally hear someone else bring it up...thx bammer...

So because JB was so right on with the PK, I finished some of the girls with GRAVITY on jb's recommendation last 3 weeks(low dose), and some with 'BASTIC, both were beautiful, gonna stick with 'BASTIC for now I think you get a more explosive growth, though the GRAVITY had noticeably much more density...
Now for the BOOST, correct me if i'm wrong but I think most of us feel that the only thing worse than the price tag is the ambiguity surrounding it. mysterious ocean water? sugar beets? pig shit? nobody knows what the f&@# is in it, and no one ever will....so I ran some girls with BOOST all the way through, and some with none. the ones with BOOST did look a little prettier and ended up with a bit more weight. so my brain breaks it down like this....
1) the plants obviously like BOOST
2) the flavor is probably just a bit sweeter
3) the BOOST naturally makes the PH plummet downward without affecting PPM's, so I never have to worry about what im combining with it
So for me the only question is if I spend 500 bucks on this stuff, will it give me at least 500 back? the answer is YES . So I have to respectfully disagree with all the "boost-bashers" in here, for me there's simply no reason not to roll with it, it pays for itself in the end...
.....Has anyone in here tried bud blood/bud ignitor or any similar early bloom products? thats my next venture, supposedly it helps the plant store forms of potassium phosphate and potassium sulfate as soon as you switch to 12/12 to initiate more flowers at a faster speed...I just started but the ones that got the blood do look more explosive and appear to be 3 full days ahead of the others after 16 days! I havent heard this product mentioned in this thread yet either, if this stuff works then I'll have my complete start to finish botanical enhancement completed.... any feedback on anything here is helpful as always..... corn

I grow hydro, top drip and dwc. I am about to start my third grow with the canna aqua vega a and b and the flores a and b along with rhizotonic. my problem is that it always seems like im using to much or to little. at first i used the amount stated on the bottle and i got nute burn. so i lowered it and it seemed like my plants were lagging. do you have a recommended amount to use and how many days or weeks old to start using the nutes with the plants other than what the bottle says?

go on the canna's website there u can fill in all the deatils on the grow and get a feeding shedule that works for most of us on here
