Here's a good one...

Any tips for rolling out new tubing? Always curls back up on me
I would always soak in boiling water, then slide it over something rigid, small enough to fit inside of tubing ( bamboo stake, metal tubing etc). Let cool, and should stay straight.

i cut all my pieces of tubing to the length i need. then i put pvc pipe inside the tubing to straighten the tubing, then i put in the bathtub in a couple of inches of hot water. then let it cool.

I have a flood and drain. Using 3.5 gallon buckets with net pots inside it with hydrocorn in that. A 55 gallon drum as the reservoir. Canna Aqua A and B as nutes. Home made led lights.

This is the control bucket.

The 55 gallon storage drum. The control bucket is sitting in front of it.

The 3.5 gallon grow buckets.
Hello,
I just built a flood and drain system. I haven't put it to work yet. I'm a newbie and was wondering what is the control bucket used for?

A table I just built for my 4' x8' flower room. I made it narrow so I can walk across the front of it. I have a 55 gal drum to go underneath of it and a Eco 3 hundred something pump. I also have an air pump with 2 4" air stone discs. I go on vacation for 2 weeks every year and am trying to design a system that I can be confident in leaving for that long. The table is 8' x 15" inside diameter. What do you ebb and flow' ers think? My plants are vegging in 3 gal coco filled smart pots. Will probably flower in 5 gal. Any advice and or suggestions welcome!

Looks good! You should be good with a 55gal drum res. I use the buckets with same size rez and it only goes down a few gallons every week. Maybe like 1/4 of the drum at most. I use coolers as rez underneath my flood tables and I need to refill those more quickly, but those are only 25gal and 35gal.

Thanks! Do you think the PH will stay in range for 2 weeks?

Tap or RO?

Tap I had a bitch of a time keeping the pH stable. I was dumping pH down every 12 hours because of the swing. Switched to RO and I rarely ever have to adjust the pH at all. Maybe a small cap full of down within the first day of a res change. That's it

I use tap water and let it set open for 24 hrs. Right now I mix up 20 gallons at a time and hand water and I'm having to dump some down in it every couple days. Looks like I'm going to have to install an RO system. : /
