Though I disagree with your attitude about meat (never let go of a meal), I must applaud your fashion sense. That is *THE* outfit to go trout hunting!

Hey I spot an adipose fin....Lol! My wife was like "what the fuck are you wearing!?"
As far as the catch and release, here's the thing: if I'm fishing somewhere that has stocked fish, or the ocean, or even most non trout will get eaten (I have pounds and pounds of fish we caught in the freezer)
But wild trout in a secret place you hike miles into are different. They aren't exactly doing well as far as reproduction etc. certain trout are now on the endangered list and others are close.
If every fly fisher took their limit there would just be no wild trout left.
Also, no one would ever be able to catch big fat Browns if they never got to live 10 years.
So that's why.
But just so ya know:

It does happen. Lol
Good eye. But that doesn't mean for certain they are triploid stockers. This particular river hasn't been stocked in years. They can essentially "become wild" again.Hey I spot an adipose fin....

Kind of thinking the same thing but to each his own. I fly fish in mostly catch and release areas only. One reason.....the fish are bigger. Most places in Colorado peeps only catch small fish.....reason...there is nothing but stocked fish put in by the Division of Wildlife. The fish never have a chance to get big because of over harvesting. A few years back I backpacked to hard to get to places for larger wild trout but as I have gotten older I don't wander to far off the beaten path.Lol @ inbred golf hipster! Sig worthy.
can you keep on the forum topic pls, thank youMorning members of the O'l Farts Club. I actually recognize a couple of you from other parts of the universe.

So, what decade were you born in....50's for me. I was born in 1950 and the most significant things I remember from that decade was Sputnik was launched in 1957. My mother and father divorced in 1956 and mother re-married and moved to Colorado in 1957. Pretty much been here ever since. I am one of the few that the green rush came to me.....I didn't move here to come to it.
Will talk about the 60's tomorrow.....what I can remember of it. Loved the 60's.....will take a while to go over all the shit that happened during that decade.......
Gotta mow the grass today SMOKED LOTS OF WEED and get ready for a fishing trip.....be well all.
Ok o'l timer.....what have you got to contribute????can you keep on the forum topic pls, thank you
