Thanks Dude! You know, everyone says 2700k for flowering but is it really that necessary? In my experience they tend to produce more heat than the cooler spectrum and my ventilation is somewhat lacking. I do however have 4-5000k/23W bulbs up top along with 1-6400k/27W and 1-6500k/23W on either side. From what i understand the 5000k is considered "full spectrum" and some are listed as such by certain manufacturers. I am going to add two more bulbs up top to widen the coverage and am considering 2700k for those to sort of round out the overall spectrum. That will put me at 188W total. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Found a few key elements online that i believe will really take things to the next level. The 4 missing links that i found are greensand, kelp meal, alfalfa meal and soft rock phosphate. I may not be able to get the full benefits out of these amendments on this grow but the next will be that much better in terms of overall plant health. Plan on doing a top dressing with a combo of greensand, kelp and alfalfa assuming i get everything before getting to deep into flowering.

What are the benefits of adding greensand to your soil? I am aware of the benefits of kelp, alfalfa and rock phosphate.

Oh my friend, i am so glad you asked as i am in the knowledge dropping mood. Here goes....Greensand is amazing in so many ways. Improves soil structure which in turn improves aeration. It also provides slow release potassium which will really work well when i recycle my soil. It also has iron, magnesium and tons of trace elements. When i get it i plan on top dressing with it. My humidity is quite low so the plant will literally sweat out the potassium it has stored up causing deficiencies and such. Other than that it will be for long term soil building and my next batch is gonna rock. Thanks for the interest.

Bud sites galore. Liking what i'm seeing so far. Added two 23W-2700k and currently have them positioned on the right side however i think they would do better up top. Ordered kelp meal, alfalfa meal and soft rock phosphate this morning and they shipped this afternoon. My greensand supplier was out of stock so had to order from ebay. Cost twice as much but i can't wait two months.

Nice - sub'd and looking forward to the continued growth. I will probably do a couple of mine using LST and see how they compare to a regular topped plant. I usually top mine about the 6th Node and they spread out nicely.

Right on man. Thanks for stopping by. The LST is something i wish i knew about ten years ago. Works great for when you got to work with limited space.

I like how the pics show up big like that...how you do that?
Anyway, budding up not too bad and also noticed trichome production is starting. But damn is she lacking N and also some P, as indicated by those super red leaf stems. Gonna do a real high power tea next watering as i now have my kelp and alfalfa meals.

when you upload your pics, hit the preview button and then right click on the pic and open in a new window. then right click on the pic and hit copy, close the window and right click in your text box and hit paste. there may be a better way but thats what i do.

I read that fungus gnats like moist soil. So let your soil dry out before you water. It doesn't harm the plant at all I have noticed. If anything the root stretch to find water which will increase your yield in the end. Also, little late but thanks for elaborating on the benefits of green sand. This joints for you!

Thanks man! I was most likely overwatering slightly. Being all-organic it may affect the micro-life letting the soil dry out but i got a nice tea brewing that should have a ton of life in it.
Still trying to find my greensand. Had two orders cancelled on me.
Thanks for stopping by man!
