Why would anyone TAKE the path of least resistance (happily) let alone TELL people about it, in such an open manner.

This is sad, don't take the path of least resistance, unless it is also the path you would choose otherwise.
The philosophy itself, is to completely give into the people around you, and do what they want..."The path of least resistance".
That's ridiculous.
Stop it. Right now.

Do you. Not the least resistant option.

I'm an Engineer and I live my life based on physics and as you said electricity does take the path of least resistance as does hydraulics.I prefer to believe that I am intelligent enough to figure out the easiest way with the best results.Just as the Laws of Physics demand.
