The pH Manifesto

So, yeah, I downloaded the pH Manifesto from Big Mike at Advanced Nutrients. Still working my way through it, but so far it seems like a lot of new things to consider in my own grow room.

Here's the first thing which makes me think a little bit.

It says that it's not just the pH in your nutrient reservoir that matters in your grow. The report (which is free, BTW) says it's the alkalinity and the pH of three different things that matter the most:

1. water
2. growing medium
3. nutrients

It's not just one thing. I have to say, I've had my suspicions. I mean, it always seems like you just need to adjust the nutes, but sometimes that just doesn't work or do anything to help.

I guess that makes sense, I wonder how much it effects everything though because I can understand soil/water ph differences but I'm not so sure about the nutes and the water, provided you PH after you add the nutes it seems like it wouldn't make a damn difference anyway. (especially not noticible)
