Your vote is not meaningless. Everyone's vote should count.

I do blame Bernie/Stein voters for the failed election. I specifically blame those voters who reside in Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

California, like Massachusetts and other educated states, will never be in trouble of voting a Republican President... I shouldn't say never, but very unlikely.
Blame everyone but the candidate.

See where it gets you.

Who are you, CNN?

The endless 'noise' about Hillary Clinton impacted that election.

The sad thing is most of that 'noise' was the result of a 20 year smear campaign started by the right, reinforced by right wing radio, and then by Russian ads on social media that the uneducated accepted as fact.

The ONLY thing you guys could ever really legitimately come up with is campaign donors that I still don't have a problem with.

Citizens United changed the rules. I'd get rid of it in a heart beat, but until then you better be able to match the money or you'll be buried by negative ads that idiots will believe.

I'm a pragmatist, you live in a dream world 50 yrs. into the future.

There are a dozen reasons Trump snuck in the back door. The 'noise' helped whether you accept it or not.

And in the end, how could you even argue about the difference between a racist Trump regime vs. a Clinton administration that would be a protector of the environment, civility, minorities, women, etc.

Isn't it clear as a bell at this point?

A lot of your BS at this point is the product of constant arguing and name calling with UB.

Either you're a Democrat during elections or you're not. You would have had 4 years to criticize HRC. AFTER Trump was stopped and discarded.

You can't be happy with the current state of affairs.
Your logic has gotten the country where it is today.

Gee thanks, 'pragmatist'

There is some evidence that WI's voter ID laws depressed turnout of Democrats. It's another barrier to students and although I don't understand why, voter ID laws tend to suppress black votes.
You live a very sheltered life.

And you spend far too much of it advancing fantasies on the internet.

Wisconsin should be a blue state. If they would just show up at the polls. They aren't nearly as knuckleheaded as their elected officials as a whole.
I used to travel for business to WI. With the exception of Madison and maybe Milwaukee, WI is definitely a red state.

It was an invitation for an explanation. I have my ideas but wouldn't mind hearing from others. Voter suppression is very effective as suppressing black voters. I'm interested in hearing from others what they know about this.

I'd say the voter ID laws disproportionately affect minorities because a lot of african americans and latinos live in urban areas where they have access to mass transit, so there is less need to own a car, and therefor less of a likelihood that they will have a drivers license.

That's just a guess (so please don't freak out and start tossing around the racism accusations), so maybe I'm over simplifying it.

That's a very good point.

Agree, there are a lot of issues with getting a drivers license that go away when you don't need to drive. It's not so bad where I live now but when I lived in CA, you had to give up the entire afternoon for a visit at the DMV to renew a license. An error in the records could trigger a visit to the county courthouse and another afternoon lost a the DMV. I've also heard stories from black people in the south who claim unequal treatment when trying to correct errors in their records. Also if you don't have a car, simply getting to the DMV can be difficult, especially when it's several hours away.

I was looking at this and found an article that claims that voter ID disproportionately affects certain groups including the elderly and minorities. Yet, a conclusion in this article was the affect on elections was not important.

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2016/11/2/13481816/voter-id-suppression-turnout

I think the article actually highlights that voter ID laws are stalling progress in improving voter turnout and they do affect elections by keeping Black, Hispanic and elderly turnout rates down.

Seems he preyed on children of single moms, otherwise, you'd think he would have asked a father or two somewhere along the way. His comment that he always sought the mother's approval was chilling. He's a fucking predator.
uuuh yeah, I hadn't caught that very important point. They never mention the father in these stories, do they?

I don't think a gentle and caring person would tell the girl he just forcibly groped that he was a district attorney and nobody would believe her if she said anything. Predator. Narcissist. Oh yeah, that's who we want in the Senate and making laws. Yet, the voters that would put Moore in office think he'll do them right even though he's morally a pile of smelly trash laced with contaminated needles.

Evangelicals are going deep into religious hypocrisy over this and Trump as well. 81% of Evangelical Christians voted for Trump in spite of their religious teachings. It's not because they approve of a pussy grabber or a child molester, it's because they have sold out their morality for a right wing political ideology.

Five years ago, white Evangelical Protestants were the most heavily Republican voting bloc in the country, and also the group most concerned about the private morality of public officials. Only 30 percent of them believed that “an elected official can behave ethically even if they have committed transgressions in their personal life.” A recent article in New York Magazine headlined with “Religious Right Now Judgement-Free, Thanks to Donald Trump.” In it, the author states:

But Donald Trump has changed all that. Today, white evangelical Protestants are the least moralistic cohort of voters.

He goes on to cite a PRRI/Brookings survey, which affirmed that 72% of white evangelical Protestants “now believe elected officials can behave ethically even if they have committed transgressions in their personal lives.”

Hey dumbass. Hillary received more than 3 million more votes than The Donald, and more than 4 million more votes than Bernie baby.

Learn how to math. It will get you places.
Hey dumbass, have you noticed who's actually in the Oval Orifice?

Whine all you want, our candidate lost.

Time to move on and figure out how to not let it happen again.

Hint; actually fucking listen to the constituents, for a change.

You think you can manage that?

Have you still not realized that Hillary won the vote? Both in the primary and the election, period.

Changing goal posts always works when you know you were wrong.

I have figured out how to not let it happen again. Remove money from politics and end Electoral College. I think I've been pretty clear on that the entire time.

I find it ironic you call for politicians to "fucking listen", yet every time I say something to you, it goes in one ear and out the other.

"Listening" is not going to solve anything, until you remove the underlying cause of the issue(s). But I've gone over this numerous times already... I'd love to hear your thoughts, besides your normal diatribe.
