College was cheaper, but few still could afford it. I didn't say college was more expensive, now did I?
College has become so expensive precisely because of government throwing money at it so every "D" student could waste 2 years in college and drop out befor getting a degree in basket weaving or "gender studies"
!) Your first chart doesn't referance anything, so we have no idea what it's supposed to prove.
2)Your second chart shows MFI (median family income) went up 147%, while the CPI went up only 106% demonstrating your statement false,
#) Your third chart is clearly false. No one but doctors and lawyers made $8 an hour in 1964. 1974 was the peak of the Carter era recession, one substancially worse than our most recent, yet your chart shows that as the most well paid year ever.
