Thanks... yeah... that's pretty consistent. lol

- Working out the ventilation in my new room that will have similar arrays. Hoping to control heat without AC is why I asked.

I emailed Tasty and they even said that the best ones were ones that are DIY:

"Yes, you can reduce wattage and maintain or increase yield. Realistically you're not going to find retail products that cut power consumption in half, at least not yet. It is possible to do with current technology. Running the current lower increases efficiency but to get to that magical 50% requires achieving around 65-70% efficiency. People come close doing DIY builds. A solution is to use CXB3590 emitters and run them at .7 amps which achieves 64% efficiency. It's an expensive up front solution."

So, switching gears, where can I buy the parts and get detailed instructions?
there is absolutely no reason tasty couldnt build to that spec, it would just be expensive per unit output.

If you build more efficient lights you may not need an Ac unit. But for anything bigger than a 4x4 additional cooling is needed to keep consistency.

image.jpeg This is my current plant under a 500w and 240w (although it uses 60% of the listed wattage) Lighthouse fHydro BlackStar LEDs. The 240w is my veg light, but I wanted to increase my lighting for better lower yield. My 500w flower light also has IR and UV.

So, of course I am flip flopping all over the place. After more research, I am certain I just want to buy something commercially. I am goi g to replace my 1600 watts of HPS a little at a time.

I like the Tasty stuff and I know you get what you pay for, but what are some other options? Are there any other brands out there that are less expensive, but not crap?

whats the big difference between the 3070 and 3590's? most use the 3070's and i was told the 3590's are better.. also a 3100k led producing a white light is way better than the led's using colored led's wright???

I've never held a 3070 in my hands, but I believe they are smaller and cheaper (price wise) than the 3590's.
