I think last election they were thinking about eliminating the mortgage interest deduction. Either way they seem to want to hurt this middle class tax payer.
Oh and as an afterthought.
Walker lowered our taxes here and increased fees. And of course since municipalities don't have the same tax revenue given back from the state they have also raised ALL fees.

The senate already passed removing the SALT deduction for individuals while leaving it intact for corporations.
Quite literally, there are NO republican senators in a state that has an income tax.
The house on the other hand, has a bunch, and they are not happy. But that doesn't mean they will block it.
Every republican senator voted for the bill.
When you add up all the bits and pieces, if you make less than $400k a year, your taxes and expenses will go up, and not by a little bit.
