The riddle of the gun; looking at both sides of the gun debate

I'm not suggesting you bow down to anyone. I'm suggesting you have a better chance of growing horns out of your head than you do of defeating the American military with your handguns and rifles.
And that has not the first fucking thing to do with the fact that the second amendment was written to give US citizens the tools and moral right to over throw a federal government gone bad.

So in your eyes, there is no difference between the musket-toting armed forces of yesteryear's, and todays armies equipped with drones and aircraft carriers?
All that shit couldn't stop one dude in a cave wearing a robe and dying of renal failure, now could it? It actually took almost $1 trillion and a decade long search to get the guy. Now imagine 50 million Bin Ladins hiding out in caves all over the USA. Where is the government going to get the money to find all of these people?

As soon as everyone stops paying taxes, the government ends right then and there.

How so??????
How so??? Really??

OK ..... I would say that it's safe to assume that back in the 1700's technology with weapons was pretty vanilla. The weapons that armies used (muskets) were substantially similar to what civilians had access to. Today, that is not the case. Hand guns would not be very effective if put up against a drone.

Apples and oranges.

OK Rambo.

Please video tape this when you take up arms against the American military. I'm always looking for a good chuckle.

Hunkering down in your doomsday bunker, and taking up arms against the US military are two very different things. If all you're going to do is cower and hide, then what do you need a stockpile of guns for?

Excuse me but I thought that was what the whole debate over gun control is about, is it not? Even Barbra Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, the Clintons and most of the leading voices from the "gun control" side have said they do not intend to take away firearms from sportsmen (whether you believe THAT hooey or not, is another conversation).
So, by default, the issue must be self defense, right? If so, then as an American, I should be as well armed as my potential threat, right?

Where will the military get the fuel to power their army? As far as I know all the refineries are in Civilian hands. Where will the army get the drones? Far as I know, private firms make the drones and civilians are the ones manufacturing them. Where will the bombs come from? Far as I know the military does not make them, civilians do. Hmmmm, what power does a military have that has no bullets, a useless land, sea and air force, and the most important thing. Who is growing the food that the soldiers need to live?

If the military attacks its own people, the military won't have shit to work with.

Yup! You are so right. You know, I don't know what got into the heads of those rich, homo phobic, women hating, tax dodging, dog kicking white guys when they wanted to break away from England and start their country, they must have been crazier than shit house rats to think they could defeat the most powerful armed forces in the world.
Good thing they lost.
Muskets and cannons.
