Capitalism is the very scourge of liberty. Privatization is the cause of wage slavery and the reason why you must rent your body and toil for the benefit of another who needs not take part in your drudgery. He simply derives a portion of the value of your labor because he has property. This is made possible by the state which goes a step further by taxing. Labor creates all wealth.
Indeed, capitalism CAN NOT EXIST in the absence of a state. The purpose of the state is to serve the ruling class and protect private property.
It is consumption which fuels climate change. This is so painfully obvious that in order to continue to fool the masses into believing that capitalism is not inherently authoritarian, it's proponents, wearing bow ties, must argue that the scientists of the world are subservient to a secret cabal, bent on a hoax.
If people knew that capitalism is killing the planet for the profit of a very few, the ruling class would be cast aside by the starving masses.
