As for her history lecture on Islam; all the facts she presents are exactly the same as those I learned in a religious studies course I took in college and they are also consistent with books and articles I have read on Islam.

Being Islamic and Arab are entirely different things. Islam according to the Koran is terribly contradictory to the teachings of Mohammad. To the Extreme Muslims Mohammed is treated as the God, and Allah plays second fiddle.

You guys ever think that very early organized religion (maybe ancient egypt of the north, Norse maybe?) would sit and talk about new religions and how they are simlilar but different, and that those that say believed that Zeus was the true god, we the 'nice' ones, and the ones that believed "Jupiter" was the true god were the evil ones that were bad guys.

The Christian Religion has a lot in common with the Egyptian religion of 3,000 years ago. So much commonality it makes you wonder, even some of the people are the same. Same miraculous virgin birth, on the same day ( DEC 25) nonetheless, etc etc etc. Same Moses stories and everything, only with the Egyptians he was called Mises. And they both worshipped the Sun/Son.

Are a continuance of pre-islam pagan traditions.

Now this is a telling comment. What he is saying above is that he already has a position and if the facts presented are contrary to it he does not want to listen to them.

There are two ways to contemplate any issue. The proper way is to reserve judgment until one considers all the relevant facts. The other, is to make up one's mind before hand and then seek out facts to support a pre-conceived notion. What we see above, is the latter.

The latter is also another example of typical Left wing fallacy. It is one of the errors in logic that I run into nearly every time I have a conversation with someone from the Left.

Bridgette is not bashing anyone in the videos. She is merely speaking facts and providing insight into the roots of Islamic terrorism. The information is something one MUST know in order to have an informed opinion on the issue. If one wishes not to hear what she has to say and doesn't care what she has to say, that is their prerogative. But without this knowledge, one has no business discussing the issue of Islamic terror as they are truly ignorant of the issue.

Put another way, the videos are a lecture series for Islamic terror 101.

Just by the intro and the fact that Heritage has their name all over it make me very skeptical.


The variety of fundamentalist Islam that the west is at war with today can pretty easily be traced back to the creation of the Saudi Kingdom. The king needed military might and so much like the Republicans did he went out and found the most bat-shit crazy religious fundies he could and teamed up with them. For helping to make the Kingdom what it is today the royal family not only enforces Sharia (or at least their brand) but also spend millions and millions of dollars funding religious schools all over the 3rd world. In these schools young boys sit for hours at a time learning the entire Quran line by line (keep in mind that in many countries they are memorizing in Arabic, a language they do not speak).
