Well, it depends on what youre skating, cruising and vert skating goes from 54mm-64mm

Here's a deck I had signed by Brewce Martin. If you don't know about him you should google him. Pretty amazing story.

that gap is fucking crazy.Love park definitely is a 1 of a kind place.I bet theres people skating there right now.
Love and temple are some of the best spots in philly.
When you and your nephew get a little practice in you should definitely check out FDR,go at like 5-6 in the morning and yous will have the whole park to yourselves,it gets very crowded during the day and that takes a lot of fun out of it cause there's always a bunch of assholes who think they own it and can just run into anybody.

from what i remember it's always been like that lol. skate parks were never really fun where i lived because they were so scarce (not that any of them were that great anyway), and even if you could find someone to take the 45 minute drive to get to the big indoor park it would end up packed within the hour of opening so we wouldn't bother.

taking the bus all the way to downtown cleveland and skating the city was where it was at. so many spots, good places to eat, good people. nobody bothered us too much about it either. busy suits heading to work really don't have time to start shit lol.

on another note, i ended up buying a deck. went ahead and got an 8 1/8" like i used to ride.

didn't buy trucks yet. talked to a friend of mine that skates and asked what people were using these days, apparently everyone and their mom has a pair of indys or thunders. said something about bones stf wheels (never heard of em) but i'll probably go with some spits or rictas since those are what i remember. there seems to be quite a bit more choices now, it used to be just go in the shop and grab whatever looked nice and leave.. now everything seems all technical.

if anyone has some other suggestions go ahead.

oh shit, it's almost about that snow time (still places to skate in the winter).

but I need to get my ollie back real quick and get some footage of me doing a big ass one over some sitting occupy protesters before it's too late.

i just ordered everytihng else i needed to make a complete board online a second ago. super stoked to get back out and kill myself again now i've got me a new setup...

i also bought a pretty decent snowboard and binding set up over the summer at this yard sale for five bucks... i really couldn't pass it up for that lil bit of cash even if it's some big turd, it will save me the cash for having to rent one from the mountains this year...

all i really want to do is carve around this killer cement pool that we have in our town.. driving by it all the time has been killing me without trying it at least a few times...
if i get anywhere near the coping, i'll have a smile that won't quit for sure... :)
