Hey everyone. I recently purchased a few of www.HTGsupply.com 's L.E.D Lights, and i just got my Kill-o-Watt meter today. Lets see how they enjoy each others company...

Here is what i have found on a few of HTG's EXPENSIVE L.E.D's , im sure everyone already realizes these are too low in power to make any decent product by themselves. The point of this thread is to help other newer buyers realize That they should not go out and buy any of these products (from this company) as primary lighting. They are just not strong enough and not to mention they dont even put out the wattage they claim... Isnt that false advertising or something? Any lawyers in the house?

Anyway... Here it is, Maybe the units vary in wattage but i HIGHLY doubt it.

HTGsupply.com

120W Tri-band LED Real wattage, 93

90W Tri-band UFO Real Wattage,80

50W LED Panels Real Wattage,45

Wow, Basically the shittier the unit the more honest their description is...

The sad thing is the 120W and 90W Both have 3 fans running which adds to the wattage.

I am not so disappointed because the way i plan to use the lights it makes no difference. Combined these lights will make a nice supplemental light of red , blue , and white light.

I plan on emailing HTG to see what they have to say about this apparent lack of wattage. I can only imagine how far off the 600W unit is from actually having 600 watts, and that thing is thousands of dollars.

Feel free to leave any comments or experiences you have had with HTG's LED lights (other then these Led lights HTG rocks IMO) are welcomed

Sorry if this has already been done

If you were calculating your bill for a 93 watt light and found out you were being charged for a 120 watts of light usage because the amount of wattage used for the fans was not included in the advertisement, that would be false advertising. The problem is that you didn’t read the fine print...

I agree it may be misleading to some, but not illegal. You also must understand that this is new technology. Its going to be expensive it’s going to need a few years of refining. That might be the more optimistic approach to your review of a fine company's products...

I happen to love the folks at HTG, their products, and their price. Hope things work out for you, give the lights a test, and then right your review in a letter to the company.

Which "fine print" are you speaking of? I saw nothing of the sort on the website. Could you send me a link to whatever you are referencing?

Not only that the wattage test he did was fans running so actual output of the 120 watt ia like 60 watts because of the fan. Thats BS and false advertisment..

Yea true that. Thats quite a shame that the 120W panel is only a few watts above what the 90W UFO should be. Actually thats kinda sad
