Morning Hippie Farmer!
The SuperPonics system is pretty damn sweet. The concept is simple and works great. Oxygen bubbles are constantly popping on the roots and i can set the top feed for whatever intervals i want.
the flexible tubing needs to be wiped every few days which is a bit annoying once the plants get really big....it would be amazing if the lid propped up on its own.
...but beyond that, all i do is change my water and add nutes every two weeks....hydroponics made unintimidating and easy.
unless you have a lot of tools, i think it may be really hard to construct the cabinet. there are a lot of odd sized drilled holes, tons of small attached pieces and rivets, and it looks like welding as well.
the cords run out of the unit through an elbow pipe, which i guess serves as the intake as well...no filter on this, but i guess if the exhaust, which is flush with the back of the cabinet and attached to the odor sock, is pulling air out, then it has to only come in through those holes.....no smells though...until I open the doors!!!
